yup. Atlanta - mega slow. there's a coupla others as well.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I think everyone wishes the process was faster but thats not gunna happen anytime soon, I was lucky I guess 215 days total so a bit under average. You can visit to make the process less painful but as always you are not guaranteed entrance, however many seem to get through with evidence that they will return to their home country and not overstay.

You're likely talking 2014 now before you get approved so I'd get a move on filing.Good luck.

Hello Darnell and KDH,

could you please tell me why the applications are sent to the local office for adjudication? Doesn't NBC/MSC process it? Also, how can we track to find out about local office processing times since they do not have timeline for the I-130s?

thanks for your help and reply in advance.

Thanks for all your responses.

I am coming fresh off a k1 visa rejection in March following which I got married on June 2nnd. I was aware of the spouse visa delays and hence I had done the K1. I am 41 now and my wife is 35. I can think of so many reasons to expedite but I am sure they will not mean anything to the USCIS.

You are not alone....first step is to start filing ASAP.

K1 - Filed March 2011

- Denied March 13, 2012

- Placed in AP March 14,2012

- Sent back to USCIS November 2012

- Expired March 2013

WASTED A YEAR FIGHTING THE DENIEL

MARRIED MARCH 15, 2013

1-130 Approved 3/3/2014 :-)

Finally made it home 3/18/2014

filed abroad processed at nbc

1% of 130's processed at nbc

99% sent to local offices

your office looks like it just had a spike http://dashboard.uscis.gov/index.cfm?formtype=4&office=76&charttype=1

you can see volumes but not dates, you will have to come up with that on your own.. search for others at the same office

infopass wont get you much before you get to the 5 months

my guess.. close to 5

Indeed! Ours had been forwarded to Hawaii local office, where my husband resides, from National Benefits Center. Our priority date was Jan 28th and counting since then, it's already 5 months past and hadnt got any result yet. What's quite frustrating around here was the fact that there are filers who applied later than we do and surprisingly gotten the approval already. Is this how the immigration process move around here?

Just being inquisitive!

All's welcome for comments.

Regards,

B&B

I am in the same situation. Our priority date was Jan 17th and our case was Transferred from the National Benefits center to the Local Detroit office as of Feb 25th, and it has been sitting there ever since. According to the local office, our file is in the " pending interview Basket" whatever that means?? Very frustrating to see that we are still waiting for this mysterious hand to pull our file out of the " Basket"!!...lol

Remember the local offices deal with a great number of things and the I-130's being thrust on them as of Aug 15, 2012 is new for them because they haven't dealt with I-130s for quite sometime. The larger the center it seems, the slower it goes (NYC for example) but there are some that are so slow that you could watch paint dry. Others are super speedy. It's really a ####### shoot. >.<

Can i have my papers sent to TSC so they process quicker?

No, TSC does not adjudicate I-130 petitions filed on behalf of a spouse.

I heard Visa's going to VSC are being sent to TSC anyway.

USCIS doesn't process visas, they process petitions. What you are referencing above is I-129F petitions being transferred from Vermont to Texas which is irrelevant to the OP's situation.

Hi! the USCIS will be the one to decide wsmile.pnghere they will send ur application for processing...

True, but, they are sending a petition off for process, not an application.
