Hello everyone just a question. We arrived at the Juarez consulate and my wife had her medical exam here and did her ACS in Mexicali. Her appointment is Monday and I had a concern. The shipping for DHL is paid at the consulate the day of the interview? Or through the ACS website? Are there any other fees to be paid at the embassy? Thank you in advance for your responses.

Hi, there's no charge for DHL. At least when my husband was there in April there was no charge. We just had to indicate on the ASC website where we wanted the visa packet delivered. It arrived within 2 days after his interview. Have you already paid the visa fee of $240? If so, there isn't any fee to pay at the consulate. The only thing left to pay is the immigrant fee of $165 before you enter the US. They'll provide instructions with the visa packet you'll receive after the interview. Good luck to your wife on Monday!!

Visa fee? Where do you pay that? We paid $230 and $88 for the immigrant visa (IV) and the Affidavit of support respectively. I know the $165 is paid after you get approved and before you go into the US, right?

The visa fee is the $230, so you've paid it. Yes, the $165 is what you pay after you get approved and before you enter the US. I guess your wife has already completed her interview!! How did it go??

Congratulations! Did you choose to have DHL deliver to local office in Juarez or another one? I recall someone suggesting to have it sent to Juarez and make initial POE there to get passport stamped even if going back to pack up things later.
