I have read a lot of scary immigration stories on the site that have got me nervous about how USCIS has lost people documents and requested RFE for stuff that was already mailed ... etc. I am nervous not because I did my biometrics on 10/31/06 but to date have not got any touches on my case at all. Is this normal or is there a way I can call them to simply verify that they have received all my documentation including my fingerprints.

Secondly, I also mailed my AOS to the Chicago Lockbox from Huntsville, AL and I would like to know what is the criteria for transfers for CSC. It seems CSC transfers get quicker processing.

Any advice from voices of experience would help calm my nerves ... it is getting hard to just sit and not be able to work and support my family.

EADs take about 80-90 days. If your NOA1 was October 16th, You're still a while away from the 90 day mark (like 50 days!). You'll get a touch just before its approved most likely. Look at my timeline as an example.

Patience. You're only 6 weeks after NOA1 you really don't have anything to complain about.

Thanks for the response, it is actually good to hear from those that have gone through the process. I will be patient and wait for the 90 days like you said.

Appreciate your response.

I'm from HSV too, we got transferred to CSC, just as a reference for you. Like others have said you are definitely too early to be calling about EAD, it's perfectly normal to not have any touches!
