Just Wondering?

Will it be a problem that I'm currently unemployed (looking for work)?
I had a contract job that ended on January 6th and I've been looking for work ever since- I live in a tiny little town with hardly any job opportunities so I had to sign up for Job Seekers Allowance cause I couldn't keep asking my mum for money.

I have all the evidence to show that I'll be financially stable in the United States- there's no doubt about that, but will it be a problem that I've been unemployed for a while + claiming benefits whilst in the United Kingdom?

It is the USC (petitioner) that has to meet the income requirements and provide the affidavit of support. Your income will not be included in that so it should not make a difference.

The affidavits of support are based off the petitioner btw... they don't care about the beneficiary.

The I-134 which is non-enforceable should be up to date and the USC will likely need a joint sponsor if they are not currently employed. It is up to the embassy to accept it or not.

When you are married and file AOS the USC should have a job by then because the I-864 is enforceable. Otherwise the USC will also need a joint sponsor for that as well.

I don't know if the OP is the USC or beneficiary which is why I edited my post.

Yeah I didn't think it mattered. Just last minute worries- the interview is just 3 days away...

I have a co-sponsor as my fiance only has a part time job whilst he is studying in college. (The course finishes in October).

The place I'm moving to is a big city- big difference from this tiny little dead-end town, so finding a job shouldn't be a problem there! I already have friends there that can help me with job-searching from previous visits too.

Good luck on your interview! I know its different for each embassy, but my husband (then fiance) had quit his job before his interview and his employment never came up. The only work related question he was asked was what type of job he intended to pursue in the united states and what made him qualified for that type of work. Read the reviews for your embassy so you will know what type of questions to expect. If you are prepared, I'm sure the interview will go just fine!
