Hello,

This if my first time here.

I sent out a petition for my dad (Form I-130) in Jan 19, 2013.

Received NOA1 on 2.01.2013

I has been exactly 5 months since the NOA1.

How long should I wait for the approval?

By the way, my local lockbock is Phoenix and my case was transferred to NBC( My case number start with MSC.)

Thank you.

MsPinay

sorry you had to wait that long! 2 years is way too long. I knew someone petition her mom and she was so surprised because her mother arrive in USA just 4 months from the time she turn in the petition.

So i thought I would be getting any luck 6 months is good. I am going on 6 months waiting for NOA2. HOpefully I will get the NOA2 the end of the month. I really want my dad to come to US before it gets cold.

And oh by the way, you and

Shiela-Todd

should call senator. they are a big help.

Ok guys thanks. I will keep you posted.

I actually applied I-130 petiton for my mom in Oct 2012 and I got NOA1 in Nov 2012. I have not received any response from USCIS since then. One of my friend is currently working in a law firm and he told me it is going to take at least 8 months in order to get approvial. One of his client even took 1 year. If you look at the processing time information from USCIS website, the average processing time across the whole country is 8.2 months. So far, I have been waiting for the approval almost 8 months now. I just hope that I can get the approval soon. Otherwise, I will need to keep calling them which is not what I want to do.

This is very depressing, as my mother just passed away last year and I want my dad to get away from that depression mode. I want to take him places and I want him to get here in US before it gets very cold. I wish to hear form USCIS soon.

Keep me posted also hk.

Does any one have information on this subject:

My mom lives in Bulgaria and we submited the i-130 (NOA1 June 17th), SHe is eager to travel and see her grandbaby and is worried of the long wait. She has a 10 yr valid visitor visa (exp 2021), Can she come to the US on her visitor visa and can we finish the aplication process from here and get a change of status? Or do we have to start all over?

I would appreciate if someone has understanding in this subject to give me informaiton.

thank you
