Police Clearance or Good Conduct Certificate from Bahrain

I worked in Bahrain for almost 6 years. Before I left Bahrain for good, I took a Good Conduct Certificate (GCC) since I already knew that I would be needing it for our future plans on filing K1 visa . Bahrain GCC has a validity of 3 months, it was already 1 year expired when we decided to file for a K1 visa. I have inquired and read alot regarding this issue but really didnt find a solid answer.

Base on the Country Reciprocity Schedule I can apply/ get a new GCC but since Bahrain has no embassy here in the Philippines i was thinking that it would be so difficult to really get a new GCC.

I have read alot that they followed the instruction on getting it but never actually get it and it takes a very very very long time. Upon searching ways to make my life easy I came across about the Honorary Consulate of Bahrain here in the Philippines which process application for GCC. But.... there will be a long wait still... and they cannot tell you exactly how long since it has to go thru a long process of sending it thru Bahrain embassy in Thailand and embassy in thailand will send it to Bahrain.... but anyways, the Honorary consulate told me in an email that they have people who also have the same problem with me but they tried to submit their GCC during the interview even if it is expired already and they dont encounter any problem with it. (so i got confidence here somehow)

In my desperation, I made a plenty of calls in the US embassy here in manila to inquire about my case but still the answers i got were all made me feel worse. Lastly, i send the USEm and email stating my problem... they kindly emailed be back, saying that I could try to submit my GCC even if is already expired since I am not living there anymore and didnt come back although it defends on the CO if he/she will still require me for an updated GCC. (i got additional confidence here!)

I got my GCC on Feb. 4, 2012 and I left Bahrain Feb. 6,2012 and never come back again...

Although I got confidence somehow with the Honorary Consulate of Bahrain in the Philippines and USEm responce I am still a little bothered since i knew the possibilities that they would not consider my case and this will result for longer waiting for me and my fiance be together... :( :( :(

I wanna know if anyone here got the same issue???? What did u do??? or anyone have tried to submit expired GCC but accepted since u didnt come back on the country were you lived before???

Thanks to all and have a good day ahead!

The embassy is fully aware that there are some countries you can not get a police clearance from (except in person, which is not possible most of the time)

Here is DOS info http://travel.state.gov/visa/fees/fees_5455.html?cid=8960

timeline.gif and update your profile so its easier to see what country you are dealing with and what your current time frame is in this process.

As for what the embassy in Manila requires, click the link in my signature below this post.

hi! thanks for your time.... I've visit that site (reciprocity) many times...yes there are countries listed there that getting GCC is not possible i.e. Saudi Arabia and UAE. But with Bahrain case, they stated the way how you can get it, meaning they really require???.... anyways, I am really hoping that the GCC (even though expired) I have will be accepted...

I just really wanna know if there are people here who have the same case like mine... and what happened with them...

Thanks again and have a good day!

Good Day, I am wondering if you were able to get your GCC certificate from Bahrain. I am not sure this e-mail gets to you but your answers would be a God-send. Thank You. Louis.Blea@yahoo.com
