Hello, All. Hope everybody had a great holiday weekend. Looks like there was a little burst of NOA2's over the last few days - congratulations to you!

I am making a pile of things to send with my I-864EZ. Before you say anything, I know I am about to mention items that aren't required with this form, but I'd rather be on the safe side. I already have the 6 months' worth of paystubs and three years' worth of tax transcripts. Here are my questions:

1. Photocopies are okay for all of this stuff, right? Is there any supporting documentation that needs to be sent as originals?

2. When sending bank statements, should I black out the account numbers (also relates to #3, below)?

3. I am going to get a letter from my bank: stating that my accounts are joint with my husband (only the primary account holder is listed on the statements), stating how long they have been open and how long he has been on them, and giving the average monthly balance for the last 12 months. Is there anything else I might want to include? Should the account numbers appear in this letter, if I have multiple checking and savings accounts and he is only on some of them?

4. What does a letter from my employer need to include beyond current salary, date of hire and position?

5. Can anybody think of a reason why I shouldn't send any of these things?

Thanks, as always.

Read the instructions included with form I-864EZ Copies are accepted, and signing the I-864EZ you are swearing that they are unaltered copies.
2. When sending bank statements, should I black out the account numbers (also relates to #3, below)?
Readt the instructions included with form I-864EZ, bank statements are not requested, only IRS Return data, and IRS Transcript is recommended by the instructions in place of 1040, W2, and 1099 forms.
3. I am going to get a letter from my bank: stating that my accounts are joint with my husband (only the primary account holder is listed on the statements), stating how long they have been open and how long he has been on them, and giving the average monthly balance for the last 12 months. Is there anything else I might want to include? Should the account numbers appear in this letter, if I have multiple checking and savings accounts and he is only on some of them?
again letter from bank is not required by the I-864EZ.
4. What does a letter from my employer need to include beyond current salary, date of hire and position?
Correct,
Basically, your employer letter should state "To whom it may concern: (first name, last name) has been employed full-time with the XYZ Company since 200_ as a (name of your job), and is an employee in good standing with an annual salary of $XXXX. Signed, John Doe, Supervisor (or whatever title)" The letter should be on company letterhead.

5. Can anybody think of a reason why I shouldn't send any of these things?
send only what is requested by form I-864EZ

hi......

no need to send the bank account statement........its not required with the I-864 EZ.....ya it was needed with the old I-864 form........

also send only the employment letter in original and we also notarized ....ya we know it was not needed but since this AOS is the basis of our visa petition so thought to do that also .......all other things can be photocopies and the originals can be send to your spouse oversees to take along to the interview to the consulate as the consulate may ask those things...............and its good that you are sending last three years tax returns...and six months pay stubs.....eventhough they just need the current months pay stub and current years tax return.......best wishes for your remaining journey
