My mother has agreed to sponsor my cousin's fiancee. My Cousin is the USC and his fiancee is Canadian. Here are the questions -

1 - My mother does not have a passport (she is a born US citizen)...does that rule her out as a support sponsor?

2 - She asked if she would need to send the originals of her birth certificate along with the paperwork...does she?

Thanks

I am the USC/Petitioner

She just needs to add proof of US citizenship. She can do that with a copy of her US birth certificate. She does not need a passport.
