They're not necessarily made of fish sex organs. They're like meatballs but use the flesh of fish instead. They are of course shaped to look like moist, tasty balls and then fried or steamed.

Most of the chinese markets I shop at have fish balls. I stopped buying them when I learned of the extra chemicals put in them, but before then? Almost my fav meat for about a year.

Because the makers of fish balls might have mixed in every little part of the fish that can be utilized. tongue.png There is no telling what's included or not. Buyer beware.

Newborns are moist only after two minutes from delivery? Which planet do you live? All babies in the womb are surrounded by amniotic fluid. Do you think they'll come out dry?

I haven't eaten fish balls for over three years. They're very popular as street food in the PH but I've always preferred our Pinoy-style fish tempura on the streets. God knows what they're made of but they could be irresistible.

I'm not looking for any. I doubt I'd ever eat street fish balls and tempura again. My taste has changed a lot even if I've only been living here for 3.5 years.
