I was wondering, my wife has planned a trip overseas for a couple of months for later this year. With the case being in NYC, is there a big possibility that they might call her (petitioner) in for an interview or something? How would that work? Any ideas on that?

NYC RSA: Seems like we're on the same boat. I read on the other thread that you're doing infoPass soon? When do you have it scheduled for? Do post about how that goes for you.

shivam23: I wrote how I found out where my case is. I followed what KDH told me on this thread, please read page 1 and you'll know what to do as well. My wife or I never received any notifications regarding our case being transferred anywhere either. It was only yesterday when she called that we found out our case transferred to NYC field office in March.

There have been a FEW interviews at the local level, but I haven't seen any recently.

I wouldn't really expect that to happen.

In the beginning, they were constantly telling everyone they would be called for an interview because that's what used to happen when a petition was sent to a local office, but that's not the reasoning behind this forwarding so I think they're finally getting the hang of it.

She should have someone constantly checking her mail just in case a letter comes requesting an interview.

I'm sure there's probably a way to notify if you're unable to make it.

it is rare that anyone is notified when the transfer takes place

it is only by calling an io at uscis that you find that out and most often have to press them to give you the additional info

if you got probs.. take an infopass and speak with an io face to face

nope..

aos cover sheet is printed after payment is made.. got a specific bar code

230 is the IV application.. IV cover same thing.. after paid, printing the cover becomes an option

I am including a complete coversheet detailing each packets contents as well

the reason I asked was because, I see some people writing about sending the AOS and 230 together. So I was wondering. So u r saying for the DS 230 cover sheet, we have to make a payment and aftr that we will barcoded cover sheet right?
