They are not army rangers are u said.

eh - sometimes. when the threat level is above a certain level, there's a platoon of army rangers posted inside the airport.

but I digress. Sure - airport police are there at the airport. I'd trust an airport policeman over an airport manager any day.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Are you serious??

Do you think everyone staffed in school has one generic skill?

i am serious. you want cops in school (cause the nra said it's for the best) but you don't want cops to be cops in school (if it has to do with an nra tshirt).

The NRA actually hasn't set the bar quite that high. They called for "armed guards" in every school - that's not necessarily a police officer. They don't care about the quality of personnel that is put at the school. They just want to make sure that whoever stands there has a gun. It's about gun sales, after all. Nothing else. It's not about safety of the kids at school. It's not about saving lives. It's about selling more guns. They'd be happy with a minimum wage body standing there as long as that minimum wage body carries a gun - or preferably two.

Cops have been at schools even before NRA suggested it.

What I said was cop in the school or airport or within a city, they need evaluate the situation to make a call if law was broken or not, they should not do something just coz they are being asked to do by school admin, airport manager or city manager.

You mean similar to TSA.. poor guys don't have gun but might get it someday.

so cops should arrest based on individual morals, some personal drive? you're really grasping here

so is this the ever growing police state's fault or the poor decision making skills of one cop?

or could this possibly be a perfect example of a sensationalized "news" story, marketed to gun clingers as evidence of obama's pending gun grab???
