How long did it take to get the welcome letter, ssn, and greencard?

When and How did you pay 165$?

you can pay that USCIS immigrant fee before you leave for US. Instructions on how to pay will be attached on your visa packet.

I got my SSN card a week after I arrived, and I got my green exactly a month (last 24th) after entry... my $165 fee 2 days after my arrival, like I did it myself since my husband got confused and waited for me to arrive to do it! lol!

my understanding is that the GC will "automatically" be sent without you doing anything...

But - more than likely you will have to go to the SS office to apply for SSN (even if you checked that box to say you want one mailed to you)

We went to ss office and they told us we cannot apply for another one because we allowed DHS to assign a number for us in the DS230 form. So all we have to do is wait. We called the DHS and SS hotline to check atleast to know what's going on with our cards, all we heard from them is they cannot determine when these cards will arrive. SS office cannot even find any of our files. Hope to receive them soon...
