Friends,

I am here is US and my wife is overseas. Does this mean my application would be transferred to local office? I just called the USCIS and the Tier 2 told me that if the beneficiary is overseas then it would not get transferred and NBC will handle the case.

Last week I called Tier 2 told me that transfer to local office depends on workload. And, reading fellow members comments it looks like the only time application does not get transferred to local office is when both petitioner and beneficiary are overseas.

I am confused as to what to believe, please enlighten me.

Thanks,

Most often the cases are transferred to local offices around the 2 months mark if the petitioner lives in the USA. If you petition has not been approved by 3 months I suggest speaking to an ISO again and finding out where it was transferred and when, if that's the information you want to know.
