how long take time nvc to get visa in hand

hello vj friend,

its very long time after 1.5 year 06/13/2013 i got mail by uscis my i-130 approved and your case going to NVC. my spouse have green card of u.s now i want to know how long take time to get visa in hand.

all depends on your priority date - which is your NOA1 date.

Check the visa bulletin - published every month on the department of state website - check against the category you are in, i.e. F2A.

That will tell you a rough time for when the NVC will use to begin processing your case - normally they will begin looking at it about 6 to 8 months before the priority date will become current...

Our case was still F2A and the priority date was about 9 months away when we first heard from the NC - it was about 3 months after the I-130 was approved.

i am f2a category my pd date 7 feb 2012 my I-130 approved on 06/13/2013 and still now i not receive mail & call by nvc and no case no. how long take time nvc to start processs and complete all formalities and how long time to get visa in hand????????
