Have been looking at the data for CR1's from the UK and it's suggesting that the average wait between NOA2 and interview in the UK is 166 days!

Is this about right from other peoples experience or are people not updating their timelines which skews it? Seems like a long wait to get an interview....

sad.png Sad to say, but yeah... I-130 petitions take a long time. It's pretty disgraceful, but that's the state of things. If you dig around, you'll find people waiting 8 or 9 months just for their approval. With any luck, yours won't take that long! Predictions are hard because the services centres randomly speed up again or slow down.

It's probably best to look at the stats in breakdown. The UK processing side is a bit more easy to follow and more predictable (and easier to chase!) - takes 3 - 5 months after approval. The petition approval part at the service centres in the US is where the fluctuation really seems to be - sometimes they're fast there at 3 or 5 months, other times they get really slow at 9 months.

Edit: I just realised you meant 166 NOA2 to interview! Sorry, I'm such an idiot some times. I'm so used to telling people "yes, the petition approval really does take a long time". That's what, 5 months? That's about right. It takes a while because that's the time it takes to go through the NVC and THEN go through the local consulate process. If you're really on top of the paperwork once it gets to the NVC stage and are ready to go immediately at every request, you can probably hope to get it on the shorter end of the averages. Folks in the London section will be abe to give you tips when it gets to that point on when to start requesting your LND number (this number is your key to getting your medical booked and being able to get on with the next stages).

We was around 135 days from receiving the NOA2 - Interview. Its a long process but you do feel like you're at least doing things after the NOA1.....more forms to fill.....medical then finally interview. The end is in sight......good luck!!!

Thanks for your replies, I know it probably seemed like a dumb topic but I was aware of the wait between NOA1 and NOA2 and I'd assumed for some reason that was what held everything up and that once you had NOA2 it would only be a couple of months before the interview. Seeing 166 days as the current average was like woah! We will have everything prepared and ready for every next stage so hopefully that will speed us up a little!
