DCF in Frankfurt (2013)

Hi guys,

Got a pretty quick turnaround on packet 3 and got a letter today scheduling the interview for 8 am on Nov. 21st. We had scheduled a medical appointment in Munich for the same day, so now we're looking for solutions: either an emergency appointment in Munich on Monday, or doing a Frankfurt walk-in.

Do you guys know if the medical results have to arrive at the consulate before the interview?

Thanks

Hi,

well my personal opinion, and if it was ME

I would cancel in Munich and go on Monday to Frankfurt http://www.internisten-im-westend.de/cms/iiw.php?p=DE,253,20,,1,

I bet they would like to see it before/or on your app. date (don't think they let you do it just for fun u know) besides they going to put your medical result in the envelope(I believe) that you can't open and I think it is a part of either approve your visa or not/delay.

Don't forget it's going to take couple days for the doc. to send your results off. So if you do it on Monday and with some luck it will arrive just on time, or else you have to wait longer on your visa.

If you get it done in Frankfurt just take your receipt with you to the app. to show them that it's done.

If you can do the emergency appointment in Munich on Monday so do it ;o)

good Luck

I finally got my NOA2 from Rome...what a wait. Now I am just waiting on my case number from Frankfurt and then I can proceed. I am wondering if I should make my husband a medical appointment already here in Munich or should I really wait.

Your medical is valid for upto 6 months. DCF usually takes much less time to complete, so you can go ahead and make the appointment.

It's amazing how many questions can be resolved with a 2 minute Google search...

Sooo… yes we called and yes since this is the only doc that does it for Munich and surrounding areas it can be a long wait. Plus he works on German time, which is like a hugh 3 hour break between morning and afternoon appointments.

Anyway we got a reasonably timed appointment, I hope. Apparently, it takes 14 days to send to frankfurt? That sounds a bit long to me, but in any case, the people we talked to in the office were nice and friendly. Still waiting on case number from Frankfurt, hoping it it any day now.

You need to have blood work (HIV) and x-rays done. This takes a couple days for the doc to review and then he has to seal it and send it appropriately.

Another question, because I am a stay at home mom/homemaker, and I am filling out I-864, should my husband prepare the I-864A, it is unclear to me. I have searched the forum and it says the Sponsors sponsor? Thanks.

@Skyla: I have my I-864 in front of me... perhaps i can help u...

Normaly the petitioner has to fill out form I -864. The only thing what is necassery for the beneficary is the adress and Name. All the other stuff belongs to the petitioner. The petitioner is the sponsor then he/she earns enough money. Then not the I-864a is for the co sponsor!

FYI, one of my big lessons learned from this project was to order IRS tax transcripts for you and and cosponsors pretty much immediately after submitting the I-130. That was a big bottleneck for us.
