hi all how are u? i have question cos im already here in america 2 years now and have welfare help and foodstamp i also have section 8 for free house. oh and i have welfare health insurace too. many people tell me dis is illegal fraud. but i do no fraud! if dis is illegal den y do american govermant give it to so many ppl? thats da purpose for america right? we have no money and are very poor. what do sum ppl want me to work? im tired to work dats y i come to america right? so we file for my 10 yr green card cos i only have 2 yr. i file for free with fee waiver cos i cant pay like $600 right? dey tell me dat i will lose my green card and be deported cos im on welfare. dis is not true right? or do i have to worry now? do i have to file something else to make sure i get 10 yr grencard? thank you so much and god bless!

You shouldn't be receiving the benefits and your sponsor CAN be sued to pay back the government, but as long as you're not receiving any CASH benefits they're not public charge issues so no, they don't affect whether you will get a GC or not. If you are receving cash benefits then yes, you can have your GC revoked.

The USC can obtain the benefits but you as an immigrant are not eligible until you've been an LPR for 5 years, so if you ARE getting them you shouldn't be.

Who is on welfare? Your family or you. You are not supposed to be on welfare or receive beneftis because whomever sponsored you with I-864 is responsibile for any means tested government programs. If your family receives the benefits, you are to be excluded. The federal government will sue whomever your sponsor is for repayment of benefits that you received.

Also, you are able bodied and can get out and go to work. Just because you live in America now, does not mean you cannot work. I think that it is sad that you feel that this is the way of life. How can you live on welfare and in section 8 housing, and think that it is OK, cause you are tired. Everyone gets tired from work daily.

If you lied on your paperwork to obtain these benefits, then it is fraud and you will be under the prosecution under that law.

Also, you are not eligible for a fee waiver on means tested benefits, you are not entitled to. Are you still married?

no cash only credit card to buy things i need. one button for anything. da other button for only food. ebt credit card is da name. dey cent sue my sponsor cos hes on ssi why i shouldnt get help? dis is america right? but i want to know if it means i have to leave america? if my grencard is revoke can i still get welfare? when can i apply for citizenship?

Could you please explain how did you get all these benefits? People are working hard while immigrating, and they pay taxes, and a lot of them cannot afford any kind of health insurance, and they still carry on. This is simply unfair to Americans that make a minimum wage per hour and do not receive any benefits, yet they still help others and don't cheat the system. You are tired? Of what?You are using the benefits of this Country illegally, and seem to enjoy it. Do you have any physical disabilities?

you said your petitioner is on SSI... not possible, they wouldn't have let him petition you if he was on welfare, that means that you have a co-sponsor, and he is the one who is responsible for you

people are giving you real answers, you are just choosing to ignore them because they're not the answer you want to hear. The answer is that if you are on welfare you should not be. The point of having a sponsor is to assure you will not go on welfare upon arrival to the US. Apparently your visa should never have been granted in the first place.

The united states is a hard working country and it's ridiculous that you feel that the fact that you live here now means you can live off of government assistance and never work again.
