Well, it just happened yesterday, he's upset. Though I know exactly what you mean. Not the typical timeline entry is it?

exactly... u dont put that in your timeline. An event like that is not something to broadcast. To flaunt. I am trying to find an analogy, but cant seem to find an appropriate one. :(

Why do you care what he puts in his timeline? I can put that in my timeline too :)

My goodness we have the same name.

She dont care or didnt think what will be her fiance's feeling. I don't think I woman will have a 15 mins kiss to a guy if he dont like him that much. Paul and I were far away for 11 months already but all this time I never think of any man other than my fiance. I avoid going to places or being with people that will test my love to him. Of course I miss his loving kiss and touch but never will I go out or kiss other man other than my love (ewwww i think i cant kiss a guy if i dont love him). Always put yourself in your fiance's situation. What if he kiss a woman also..... what would you feel?

Mike I think you need more prayer this time. God's wisdom is the only one that will help you decide.

How about asking a sign.... pray for it.

But he has posted the whole story on VJ; therefore it hardly matters what is in his siggy ;)

I'm not saying it is right, but, it is up to him what goes there. He's going through a hard time at the moment. If it helps him to cope, then let him do it. It's no skin off my nose! :)

i'm a late poster on this one...

but you are ENGAGED. That means a committment to marriage. If she can't honor that - who says she can honor your actual marriage?

I think the age difference is a moot point. Would he be any less upset if she were his age??

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

Matt & Jane...don't you think kicking this man while he's down...by mocking his timeline...is a little beneath you?Granted, you apparantly don't understand him at all...but does that give you the right to seriously mock a grown man while he's going thru probbos.

Or maybe it isn't beneath either of you? I dunno, I don't who you are, but if this is an indicator....

We do need to know why she told you about it, that should be your first question to her if you don't already know what her reason was. Sorry if I came away a bit harsh above, but i became a bit P/Oed reading some of the comments, especially the ones putting her down for cheating and telling you to walk away.

Yes, don't put her down for cheating and don't walk away. Instead, host a party in her honor and raise her on a pedestal. After all, she deserves it!

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

I mean everyone here knows I'm not the sugarcoating type & I'm pretty outspoken, but yeah I found it mean and childish. I don't understand the OP either....but they are not my life choices to make & he still deserves respect as a fellow human being.

Another late responder . . . I think the age is a consideration mainly because maturity tends to bring more experience and better judgement to decide if this is a good move or a bad move. A young woman with no prior relationship experience falls in love with one American, meets the only other American in a school of her fellow citizens, and recognizes a sense of something shared with her fiance. He interests her because he is from her fiance's homeland and he is unique in her current experience. She makes a mistake, realizes her error and confesses her indiscretion to her fiance. It is because of her youth and inexperience that she made that mistake - and hopefully she has learned from it. We all make stupid mistakes and generally grow wiser from the experience. She realizes now that the other American isn't like you at all, and she is not likely to make that same mistake again. If you are afraid she will run off with some young 'studmuffin' when she comes to the US that tells me that you are the one who is feeling insecure with the age difference. She could do that just as easily in her homeland. He doesn't have to be an American - and you would do well to address the trust issues that statement indicates . 30 years is a big difference - you cannot really afford to overlook it, but if you can remember what you were like 30 years ago and how much experience you have gained in the time since, you might find some more perspective that you can use to decide what is your next course of action. Personally, I would say forgive her now, address the issues involved, let her know your concerns and why and try to communicate honestly with each other about your fears and concerns. That is how a relationship grows into its own maturity. Good luck.

Yup, just seemed to me like kicking a man when he's down. Easy prey but hardly very fair. I'm sure if they were in the OP's position they wouldn't appreciate these kind of comments directed at them.
