Good afternoon all

I would like some help or info if at all possible in regard to our Fiance' K1 Petition

any info would be greatly appreciated. On Sept 19/2006 our petition was sent to Nebraska

I live in Canada my Fiance in Washington State sent in our application and the fee required

She has not yet gotten an NOA1 inforning of the receiving of her petition

On Nov.15 the cheque accompanying the application cleared the bank. Still nothing from

Nebraska. Is there a phone number or email she can contact to see just what is happening and where this NOA1 is at

Also we would like to know am I allowed to spend my processing waiting time in the U.S. or do

I have to stay here in Canada until this is all finalized .

I do know I can go visit her while this is ongoing but am I allowed to stay there until notice

is given to me from the Consulate in Montreal of what they require from me in order to set up my

interview day

Thank you

Sincerely Allie

hi there

give this number a call 1-800-375-5283 ..

also has your fiance change address?

ask your fiance to get a copy of the cashed cheque .. there is usually a receipt number on the back of the cheque..this might be able to be put in the status page at USCIS website to see how your case is going...it will be a LIN XXXXXXXXXX (10 numbers)

as for living in the states while the process is pending i dont know about that...im not sure on the length of stay a canadian can stay in the states without overstaying the length of time are allowed to stay here...hopefully a canadian can answer you that one..there is a candian thread reading the post might help too

good luck

WOW that is an usually long time for the check to clear, but now that it has, the NOA1 should be coming. It will come from California because both NSC and Texas SC send all K1s to CSC. The case number will be on the bac of the check but it should be a WAC#######. With this number you can set up an online portfolio on the USCIS website and keep tabs on the status.

24 March 2009 I-751 received by USCIS

27 March 2009 Check Cashed

30 March 2009 NOA received

8 April 2009 Biometric notice arrived by mail

24 April 2009 Biometrics scheduled

26 April 2009 Touched

...once again waiting

1 September 2009 (just over 5 months) Approved and card production ordered.

As a Canadian I can visit for up to 6 months I'm just wondering if I can do that while waiting for this to be all finalized I am going to see her again on Dec 26

This process and waiting is torture on both of us

Thank You Kath very much appreciated Good kuck to you also

I just talked with my Fiance' in Wa, She obtained the file #on the back of the cHeck from her bank

We keyed it in on the USCIS tracking site . It showedd the NOA1 as returned by the U S Postal Service

They confused her address with the people in an another Apt that had moved out It was returned Oct 23

to USCIS

The U S Postal Service may have just cost us more waiting torture by thier stupidity. We're hoping this mistake they made doesn't set our case back to starting again We already have 2 months gone Could this happen would USCIS do that for something that we had no control over As far as we were concerned everything was going along .

I want to thank the two repliers to my inquiry kath and Rob and Mybackpages

Without your info to us about the check and the number being on it We would still be sitting waiting thinking our process was in progress Thank you both so much

Sincerely Allie
