I am a February filer <VSC> and after reading so many topics here, I decided to go ahead and contact my Senators. Although it has not been 5.5 months since my filling, I figured it could not hurt.

Saxby Chambliss:

In an effort to be of assistance to you, I have contacted the proper officials with the USCIS and ask that your request be favorably and expeditiously considered. While I cannot direct the agency to rule in your favor, I can help ensure that your case is given every possible consideration. To help in the speedy resolution of your situation, I have assigned Annette Stokes to work directly with your case. As soon as information is available, I will be back in touch with you. Feel free to contact Annette with any questions.

Johnny Isakson:

An inquiry has been forwarded to the USCIS on your behalf. As soon as we receive any information, we will notify you.

I will keep everyone updated on if this helps! GOOD LUCK TO US ALL ON OUR JOURNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it's not to much to ask, what did you write to your Senators? I know many will need to be approved before me, but I'd still like to contact mine. I'm just not sure where to start.

This was my letter: <all personal information was included to them along with the signed privacy statement>

I filed my paperwork February 18, 2013. It was received February 20th, receipt number sent and my cash was cashed. When I filed my K1 application, the timeline from the USCIS was 5 months for processing. It was then moved to 5.5 months and now it is stating they are working on applications from October 2012. The VSC is also transferring applications to other facilities and those poor folks have no idea when their applications will be processed. I have called several times to understand why the timeline is changing so much and all I am being told is: "Your case is in initial review, that means initial review, thank you for calling...bye" or "possibility sometime in September 2013". This just seems unbearable to want to be with you husband and not knowing when the paperwork will even be worked.

When I filed my application, I had an anticipated completion of sometime in June/July 2013, now I cannot get any type of explanation or updated timeline. And to be told by them that it will do me no good to contact my State Senator is a poor answer in my opinion. Who else can I turn to for assistance?

I assumed that the process would run smoothly and that my fiance and I would be together in the United States sometime in July. We are following all of rules and guidelines laid out by my own government for immigration process. I am new to dealing with government agencies and that is why I am asking if you would be able to assist me with this issue. I fully understand that your office cannot grant me an approval, I am just asking for a realistic time frame for my application to be worked by the USCIS.
