And that is why this thread it titled STUCK @ NVC for AP Part II. It's for people on K1's who get yanked out of the queue for extra scrutiny. It can take up to a couple of months. There was a Stuck thread Part 1 which has lots of info on this as well.

As I've told gemspace, here and in PM's, we were in AP at NVC for the same length of time on our K1. A lot of people think K1's just breeze right through NVC, and that is where the confusion and worry sets in. It doesn't always happen that way.

i am sooo happy now.. finally status changed to in transit.. thank you Lord..

Excellent! I did say it would happen! On to the next bit! :dancing: :joy: (F)

Our K1 was approved by USCIS on August 23, sent to NVC on October 16.

I've called their number. No answer. At one point a message was left saying the system was down..

Emailed the NVC three times. No reply whatsoever!

I've been through the process once before with a spouse on a K-3. Whole process from sending the first documents, including I-130 and K-1 took 3 months!

NVC is really pathetic now. What's the difference? And I know about the database challenge a few moths ago

???

Just checked our case states at USCIS.gov. The same approved petition receipt number I had probably entered 200 times now shows the petition was approved January 9, 2015, not October 16, 2014 as the first receipt showed. I have the original I-797 notice of action in hand and sent a copy to NVC yesterday when they told me there was no record of our petition!

Absolutely pathetic! What are we dealing with here???? The original petition approval said it was sent to NVC! But as apparently not??? Huh???

I'm mad!

The same thing happened to me with my I-797 approved 1-130. It said the file was sent to NVC but it was not. The file could not be found until August 2014. My petition was approved July 25th 2013. My petition was located in the National Records Center (NRC).
