DCF London - DS-230 Part II - entirely blank, or just signature?

So, I'm going to ask this again because I feel really stupid and want to be sure...

DS-230 Part II - I know I don't sign it, but can I complete the rest of it and leave the signature and date blank, or do I leave the entirety of Part II blank and complete the entire section at the interview?

Complete the rest of the form and just leave the date and signature blank. That is what we did and it was fine.

And you don't have to feel stupid - we had the same doubt too!

Fill out everything until you get to the DO NOT WRITE BELOW THIS LINE at the end. Notice that part is an oath and the "Subscribed and sworn before me....." and place for consular officer to sign means he watched you swear and sign the oath. That's all he/she has to witness --you signing.

I knew you'd knew. I just see so often the forms described no here as "Part II - do not complete" and thought I'm bound to do it wrong if I don't double check.

"Part 2- do not complete" is probably on K1 info. The K1 is a non-immigrant visa so they don't ever do part 2. They swear on form DS-156k. It includes a different oath which is that they are free to marry and intend to marry within 90 days.

Oh, also, just noticed another thing... I should NOT mail this, correct? The DS-2001 pdf says the following, neglecting to mention Part II, so I'm reading it as "keep it with you for the interview". The website only mentions sending Part I, also.

"Please send this form, along with Form DS-230 Part 1 (for each applicant), to the address of the United States Embassy or Consulate listed on the cover letter of this information packet."

It's such a tiny amount you appear to have to send to the embassy in advance! It seems like it must be a trick.

Oh, also, just noticed another thing... I should NOT mail this, correct? The DS-2001 pdf says the following, neglecting to mention Part II, so I'm reading it as "keep it with you for the interview". The website only mentions sending Part I, also.

It's such a tiny amount you appear to have to send to the embassy in advance! It seems like it must be a trick.

Oh, and, confusingly, the physical packet 3 letter says that an interview will not be scheduled without the return of DS-2001 and DS-230 Part I AND II. So, that's conflicting! I think I'll send both parts, and keep a copy of them in my file to take with me on the day.

Thanks for that. I haven't seen a copy of the CR1 letter and wondered where they actually told people to do Part 2. The website doesn't say it, but I knew it was needed. K1s send their unsigned "oath " form (ds-156K) in and I thought CR1s should too, but couldn't see it in writing anywhere.

We filed for DCF in London, and after the medical and sending the ppwork, we receive the letter with the interview date. We DID NOT send DS-230 part 2, I kept it with me, so I guess that's fine. (it has been confusing for all of us i guess!).

I ended up sending mine, but they haven't complained. The CEAC website updated the day after they received the forms, so I assume that was them logging them. I suspect it makes no real difference!
