Was able to pay both the AOS and IV last month but unti now we werent able to received any package from the NVC...but as per advised of our friends here at VJ we downloaded the file for the AOS and IV and after filling it out we sent it to NVC both at the same time. Husband used the old version of the AOS form.

So what's next for us? We haven't heard from NVC regarding my interview appointment. Husband's work time is the same as NVC's work time so he cannot call them for inquiry.

How long should we wait til we got an answer from NVC whether our case is complete or not yet?

thank you VJ friends. And have a wonderful journey.

Beneficiaries can call NVC too for case updates.. Have you tried calling to check if your AOS and IV packets have been reviewed already? Ours was sent by my husband on May 11 and May24 but it is only yesterday that our AOS (new version) has been reviewed, my IV packet is still to be reviewed..After you send in your packets, you should call NVC to check when it was received and when it was entered into the computer. Once it will be inputted in the computer, that is the time to start counting for the 20 working days to process it.. Im also hoping to be CC this week to guarantee a slot for an August interview.. smile.png

Ohh, if you will be CC this month, you will most probably get an August interview. Scheduling will be done by NVC on the first week of July...

What do you mean by "AOS form"? I thought this is the I864 with evidence? Or is there an additional form?

thanks for clarifying.

that is the I864 :)

There are multiple AOS forms. The entire thing is called the AOS package because it may include multiple I-864s or I-864As plus supporting documents for each. It depends on what the person is using to qualify for support and if they need joint sponsors or not. Many people just refer to the I-864 as the AOS form since it's one of many accepted AOS forms available. I-134 (not used for CR1/IR1 cases), I-864, I-864a, I-864w,and I-864EZ are all affidavit of support forms. Each requires specific supporting documents and other optional supporting documents.

I just noticed that the I-864a on the USCIS website is labeled as "contract between sponsor and household member" and I-864w as "Intending Immigrant's Affidavit of Support Exemption"

Folk here at VJ want speed, so they study the wiki entry for 'LingChe' and go forth.

IF YOU ARE NOT DOING THAT, I have to wonder why?

If you utilize a handphone for VJ Usage, I suggest you yank out the battery, and get on a PC, and find and then study LingChe in the wiki.

Go Get Em, and GOOD LUCK !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

That's one hard working fella - NVC is open 7 am to 23:59, UTC-5, Monday through Friday.

Alternatively, you could email into NVC and ask.

Expect a week to 10 days turn-around time on the reply.

Alternatively - YOU could call. This type of thing is really worth a 3 month unlimited account on Skype - pay yer monies and talk all you want into USA telephone numbers. that's 2.99 per month for unlimited usage.

NVC will talk to either the beneficiary or the petitioner, on the telephone, no worries there.

it is a guide in the forum's wiki. The wiki link is on the top of the page (you must be using a computer or be in full version to see it) and you can search LingChe in the engine and find the guide to speed up your process.

what's a lingche??

Trust me, it's not any fruit similar to Durian. Sometimes it feels like a Durian shell, as parts are all pointly and prickly.

It's part of the title of a wiki page here at VJ, outlines how to 'go fast' at NVC.

Is quite possible you not see 'Wiki' in the menu bar at the top, if'n yer using a handphone to visit VJ. Come back on a PC, click 'Wiki', then in the wiki search box on the left side, enter 'LingChe' and go forth.

They do have the option to view the full site on mobile phones now. It has all the features of the regular site, just on a smaller screen! You just have to scroll to the bottom and click "view full site"

Massive improvement from several months ago!
