Appointment Letter

Hi everyone,

I just want to verify some things if I understood it correctly based on the message below:

The National Visa Center has received all documentation necessary to complete pre-processing
of your case. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner
and attorney (if applicable) will be notified.

Does this mean that the case is complete?

if that so, how long does it take for them to send an email that contains the interview date?

Let's say I got the date for the interview (which is usually scheduled a month later from the receipt date of the appointment letter), will it be possible to reschedule the interview date like 2 weeks earlier from the scheduled one?

once you get the interview notification, contact the embassy to see about rescheduling.. I know I will do that when it's my turn :)

If I am remembering correctly a few have re-scheduled online with the IR/CR-1 and found the embassy didn't honor it, they go by the interview date set by NVC.

This has happened recently, if you do a search you may find these posts. Or hopefully those that tried this will chime in.

Hi again,

I just want to restate my question last time regarding the length of time to wait for the appointment letter? It seems like our case got completed already but we don't have the appointment letter that contains the interview schedule. Does anyone have an idea about "how long does it take to get the appointment letter once the case is completed?"

thanks guys for the help.

cheers...

I got the CC email last Thursday. I was reading some other posts and they said that sometimes they don't send the appointment letter anymore instead you can just call the USEM and make an appointment.

So if ever I would receive a letter within this week, does it mean to say that the interview schedule will fall in August?

For IR/CR: July interviews were already given out by NVC on the first week of June.. Hopefully all case completions this month (June) will be queued for August interviews. The available slots will be released by USEM Manila to NVC usually on the first week of July, so start calling NVC 2 weeks from now if an interview has been scheduled..

I think it applies only to Kvisas wherein you will be the one to schedule your appointment, but, for IR/CR, it is usually NVC who does the scheduling..

Good luck!! good.gif

  • 3 weeks later...

Hi again guys,

It seems that 1st week of July is over and I don't have the appointment letter yet. Does it really take long to receive that letter? We've tried calling NVC for several times and the people there are very discouraging and don't know how to show empathy! We've been on hold for 22 minutes (2nd call) and 25 minutes (3rd call) and when they finally answered it took them a minute only saying "I DON'T KNOW"! We felt it is a waste of time and money calling for an update ---- not so HELPFUL at ALL!

This is now the 23rd day from the time that we received an email saying that our case is complete and 1 1/2 month more would be a year from the time we started the application. Does it really take long to do this application? to be honest we did not encounter serious problems when it comes to our documents but why is it seems forever for the appointment letter to come!
