Hi, I have a question. My fieance's interview date is on Sept 11 (go figure), but I already sent her my signed and notarized Affidavit of Support a few weeks ago to bring to her interview with her. I can send her updated pay stubs, but does the affidavit not apply if it is a few months old. It is nearly impossible mailing stuff back and forth with my fiance so I had to give it to someone to bring with her.

Any help is much appreciated!!!! Thanks VJ family

That's a tough one. On the one hand the logistics of getting "fresh" documents in anticipation of the consulate/embassy interview to the beneficiary can be daunting. However, if the documents are deemed "stale" by the Consulate Officer at the interview, that may warrant a delay until fresh documents are provided, or a denial (extreme case). Some of those financial documents can be somewhat time-sensitive. It is a good idea to send any updated documents, i.e., pay tubs, financial documents, etc.

Consider contacting the interviewing embassy for specific guidance.

Good luck.

when I sent affidavit of support last year it was accepted in April, my husband's interview wasn't until July. We were not asked for any updated pay stubs, but I did bring them to the interview(I was at the interview)just in case they asked. You can always scan them and send them via email to your fiance, she can print them and bring them along with her..

I think you should be fine as long as you have the latest pay stubs just in case.

I would call the embassy just to be sure. Good luck :)

Can they tell if you date it for later?

Yes, I notarized and sent her the docs already. It's just they are booking interview dates 3 months out and she's had the docs for a month already so it'll be 4 months. I will try to find the embasssy contact info and ask them...It would be really sucky if I had to send again
