Hahaha

A Nation made up of immigrants hates immigrants...it's sort of touching in its absurdity.

It's all about who got here first.

What's funny is the Mexican's where already here, long before there was even a US...lol

There was no such thing as a Mexican until 1810. 34 years after the United States declared independence.

But you overlooked that Texas wasn't an actual Republic until 1836...that's 26 years after Mexico was a Country. Texas also was not a state until 1845, that's 35 years after Mexico was a state. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas

This is where the irritating immigrant was singing at halftime correct?

And the Declaration of Independence covered the colonies if memory serves. Not the entire yet to be discovered continent of North America.

But anyway...traditionally there were not a lot of palefaces in the US. That was my point and 237 years is chicken feed when it comes to nations...this one is an infant by Roman standards.

When the Latino's are in majority in about 50 years then we shall see some definite changes in attitude around here! Some call it reform...others call it payback...lol :)

Remember a post you made recently about moving from trying to say something of relevance to just being annoying? Your not the only one.

But yeah - posting little red headed kids and making jokes, calling people rednecks and talking about their teeth and marrying cousins, or disparaging the state they are from like one recent poster has done to all those hailing from Idaho and Kentucky while also commenting on racists.. same type of behavior, just aimed at a different group.

That kind of Racism is ok. Actually I enjoy a redneck joke hear and there, because it does not change who I am. Everybody is way to sensitive now a days.

A few people tweeted some racist comments. Some how that means the whole country is racist.

Give me a break. You monitor the net you can find unkind comments about possible group out there. So the kid is Hispanic, Big deal as long as he sings this countries National Anthem I could care less.

I didn't overlook anything. You said, "Mexican's where already here, long before there was even a US." I merely stated that there was no Mexico prior to the existence of the U.S., hence there was no such thing as a Mexican prior the the U.S. being a country.

ETA: I understand all about Texas being part of Mexico prior to 1836, then becoming it's own country etc.

I hate how social media has made me more aware of how stupid people are.

I wish to be blissfully ignorant.

Social media has made it so we can all hear each other think.

Social media is one big line at Walmart or the DMV. Every time I'm there I get depressed.
