London:No packet 3 received...what exactly do I need to send

So, we got the case number. Our packet 3 was mailed to us almost 3 weeks ago and it hasn't been received. I have our case number and the forms that we fill out and send but no instructions on what to do. What else needs to be sent along with the DS forms?? I'm feeling a bit lost now with nothing in hand to tell me what to do next!

There isn't much to mail for DCF. All your documents will go to the interview.

OK....I was just thinking it looked too easy. I have almost everything ready for documents except the I864 and the I864A for my folks. I haven't even looked at that yet...and we're still waiting on the police certificate, but other than that I've got copies and originals of everything else.

Oh, exciting! Now I'm wondering if I should just call them today and see if I'm lucky. What did you ask them and did you need to quote the reference number that's on the NOA2 or anything specific? Oh, and was there a preferential phone number?

Don't forget to book your medical - the cover letter that goes with the DS-2001 asks you to note the date of it.

I just called and asked if I could have the code to email them and the man said let me check for you. He took hubby's name, my name, address,and hubby's date of birth. He came back and gave me the case number and said it had been mailed out to us 3 weeks ago.

He was very nice and very helpful!

There was very little useful info in my letter (paraphrased below)

"Dear name

we are pleased to inform you that we have received and approved petition in support of your immigrant visa application. The next step in the process is for you to complete the appropriate forms and collect the required documents. A detail explanation of the process is found on our website at http://london.usembassy.gov/ds2001.html

All immigrant applicants, regardless of age are required to undergo a medical exam with the embassy approved physician. More information on arranging at the above link. Please click medical exam on the left navigation bar.

Ann appointment for your visa interview will not be scheduled unless we are in receipt of forms, DS-230 par I/II, cehcklist DS-2001 and have received the results of your medical

Do not under any circumstances send any document to this office until you are specifically requested to do so. A final determination concerning their acceptability can only be made at the time of your interview. This will also prevent loss.

I just tried calling the number 09042450100 and it just tells me it's too busy and hangs up on me. Is there a different number?

Hey, our letter turned up this morning with our LDN number!

I guess maybe the guy on the phone misheard me when I spelt my name or whatever, so we appeared to not be in the system yet. Yay! Gonna go book a medical now.

Yeah - already have everything I need for it, and since we live in London it means I could literally just call up and say "when's your next free slot?". Husband's UK visa ends 30th July so we're trying to make this go as fast as possible now.
