Hi vj members,

How are you all!

I started my journey on 6th June to come to USA from India….I got my CR1 visa in April…

I was eagerly waited for this day from last one and half year…I felt very happy that I will be seeing my husband in next 24 hours because I did not saw him from last one and half year…

I came to USA on 6th June…It is evening 6’o’ clock when I was landed.

At the port of entry, I stood in visitors line….(the lady standing there guided me to stand in visitor’s line for my CR1 visa when I asked for help)… Only few members ahead of me…….

I got my turn quickly…

CBP officer took my finger prints and photo…and he wrote letter “A” on my immigration form and asked me to go to “booth1”.

I went to booth 1.

CBP officer in booth1 opened my sealed envelope and observed every paper clearly…and asked few questions to me..

CBP officer: From which country did you come from?

Me: India.

CBP officer: Who is sponsoring you?

Me: My husband…

CBP : Who is he?

Me: I said my husband name…..

CBP: showing my husband passport size photo from sealed envelope ….is this your husband?

Me: yes…

CBP: you two married from family relations?…most people from India get married through their family relations….

Me: No ,my marriage is not from family relation…but we have common friends…..

CBP: From how long you haven’t seen your husband?

Me: I answered…

CBP: Is your husband is outside to receive you….

Me: yes….

CBP: You can’t wait to see him right……

Me: yes….I am so excited to see him….

CBP: Took my sign and gave immigration form to me and told me to collect my baggage and go to next check…

Me: Thanks..

I collected my baggage and I felt that the process is completed and felt that now I can see my husband….

But I gave immigration form to security then he guided me to go to counter-A …

The lady in the counter-A received my immigration form and gave another form to show it in the exit.

And she asked me to put all my baggage in the separate scanning belt…

I took all my baggage and I walked out of the area…

Overall ,I had good experience at the port of entry….

I really thank VJ members for supporting me throughout my visa journey process…

I will continue my support to all the VJ members ….

4rth April 2013: Interview date...
Interview result: Approved

06th June 2013 : Reached USA

29th june 2013: Received conditional greencard...

14th March 2015: I-751 package sent to VSC.

18th March 2015: USPS delivered my package.

22 nd September: Approved for Permanent Residence Card.

25th July: NOA1 for N-400.

I don't know how you did it. I'm not normally the mushy, overly-romantic type, but it's been only a little over a month since the last time I saw my fiance and I'm an absolute quivering wreck *lol*
