my fiance arrives Saturday from DR. what documents should he bring with him? I told him to get at least 2 birth certificates & of course he'll bring his cedula & driver's license...anything else?

Congrats Corina! I remember the excitement of waiting for your loved one to arrive. Here are the documents that they will need:

-High School Transcript and/or copy of Degree (official)

-College Transcript and/or copy of Degree (official)

-Extra Birth Certificate (legalized & extensa) & accompanying children

-Divorce Document/Decree

-Cedula

-Any type of Certification or Training Doc recognizing a particular skill

These documents will be needed in America if they wish to enter any type of educational program or gain employment.

PS. You will need to find a licensed translation center to translate his birth certicate from Spanish to English. I believe I paid close to $30
