I doubt contacting your congressman had any impact on your approval at all as ours has been enquiring constantly about ours for a month, it was simple luck of the draw and probably to put VSC closer to a "5 month" timeframe. Contacting a congressman isn't simply to make someone feel "better" though, as without complaints, no resolution happens. If CSC filers didn't kick up such a stink earlier in the year, I doubt CSC would be processing anywhere near as well as they are now. The more complaints VSC/TSC get, the quicker they'll sort things out to get people off their case, especially from politicians.

Queen, I also filled my Congressmans ear full of what they are doing to you guys. Included it in complaint to ombudsman. Looks like VSC is doing very little now to prevent more backlog.

I think they have to file an expedite request but, yes, active duty military are eligible for an expedite from what I've read here on VJ. I'm not sure if they have to be getting deployed or if it's just active duty...but someone else here will know.

You can look up expedite on USCIS website for more info. They will process in 2 weeks. Very strict requirements. Plus it cost a lot of money.

Maybe found problem with VSC slow approvals. Place is infested with BED BUGS!!!!!! They have been working with exterminators to fix problem over last week. Maybe things will pick up for those still at VSC.

Well, today is 6-18-13. VSC has slowed down even worse. All current approvals are actually files ( DEC & Jan) that were transfered to TSC. Backlog continues.

What's your NOA1 date? I'm curious what the cut off was. I hope you all get approvals soon. Especially Aszara, been following her case for a while as fellow Jan/UK filers.

My NOA1 is Jan 25. Looks like cut off was 1-18. VSC has stopped. Only appears to clearing up RFEs now.

Thanks Queeny, I swear I saw a UK Jan filer who was 22nd/23rd and transferred because I remember telling my fiance we must have been right on the cusp.

Then again I may have dreamt it, quite possible

I'm sure I remember seeing a 20th + filer transferred as well. Not sure why they chose to transfer some and not others. It's impossible to predict what they're going to do with remaining VSC filers from Jan. I'd hope they would move to them after the transfer, but they're doing hardly anything and when they do it's Feb. Perhaps it's the bed bugs.

Really hope that isn't the case. Took 3 weeks to get our cases in gear, so you will be waiting for a long time if so. >.<

That would explain why the adjudactors have moved onto Feb. We'll see

I don't VSC has clue what they are doing right now. They handed off I-129f so now they are with in their 5 month range. Nothing will be done to ours until it is time for the 5 month goal. VSC keeps their current processing date as Oct 15, so everything after that has no basis to request a service request. We are stuck!
