So...we've sent in the 864 and all the 230 stuff with all the documentation. NVC got it about 2 weeks ago. How long do you think it will be until the case is completed at NVC. I've looked at others and it looks like sometimes it takes 2 months after they complete it before they send it out to Montreal. Can this be true?

Since we've sent it all that in already, aren't we just waiting now for an interview time and information about the medical? We've sent in the police certificate and all the other stuff.

Anybody out there that has completed a case at NVC recently from Canada? What was your wait like to leave NVC, to get from there to the consulate and then to get an interview?

Any idea would help. Thanks.

Check out my timeline. We went with the straight CR-1 and didn't bother with the K3.

Darn - can't edit.

It took only a month from them receiving the last documents and reviewing to complete the case.

It took all of the 8 weeks they said it would for them to send it to the consuate and set an interview date.

Wow, thanks. That is helpful. It seems hard to believe though that it takes them almost 4 months after getting that paperwork before getting you to the interview. At least it gives me an idea. Best of luck with the baby and congratulations to you both.
