Kamustasa everyone!

I'm traveling to DC in 2 days but my POE is in Chicago. I've heard so many horror stories about first-time tourists being interrogated and sent home on the next available flight and I was wondering if anyone has any stories about immigration in O'Hare. Most of what I heard were in SFO and it made me really really nervous.

Being a USC I can only comment on the time it takes to go through customs and get around inside the airport. If you have to go there make sure you have enough time till your next flight. On my return trip from the Philippines this year I had a two hour layover and I almost missed my next flight.

Just stories.. not reality for the most part. O'Hare is a very busy airport so allow adequate time between flights to clear POE and customs.

My POE was in O'Hare last December 2012 and yes it is very busy and its HUGE i had 2 hours lay over and sadly missed my flight for a matter of 4 minutes and that includes running to catch my flight but they were able to reschedule me on the next available flight.

With regards to the Immigration Officer who interviewed me she was nice and very friendly and so are the other IO there :)

--August 16,2012 * APPROVED I-129F!!! WOO! :) :) :)

My wife had her POE there in 2011 and had zero problems. The interview was just a few questions like you know you have to get married in 90 days right and where will you live? You should be fine!
