Hey guys, I am writing my personal statement right now to file along with i-360 and so far a I got about 10 pages. Like I said so far...I know it's gonna be at least 10 more. Do you think it's too much? Are they gonna read it?

veekem we have here many Vawa applicants. If you have a psychological evaluation stating you were mentally abused and have a diagnostic of major depression or pos traumatic disorder and a great personal affidavit then your chances are good. You can file a restraining order if you are being harassed or have a reasonable concern for your safety.

Thanks, Sandra.

veekem of course they will read your statement. I would not submit over 12 pages, 20 pages is too much, write 3 pages regarding the courtship and 8/9 regarding the abuse suffered specifying month/year and how you felt in each situation, describe how you were before the abuse and how you are now after the abuse. If you are filing based in mental abuse you have to show some pattern of control, humiliation, intimidation, degradation etc.

vawa111, godisgreat23,

I was told that at NBC office they do background checks and check if our fingerprints are still good. If they are expired, then they will ask you to do new fingerprints. Did you, guys, have your biometric appointments yet?

Hello Hopeful12 , I have not received any correspondence except 3 months ago my case was transferred to NBC and vawa was approved 4 months ago.Still waiting , it has been a very long wait.

@Anajnic: what is going on with your aos?

Hello VAWA Warriors !

Firstly I would like to thank you all for making this great community !

After coming here, I found everything is not lost and still there is hope in the form of VAWA.

I am regular visitor on this forum for quite sometime to explore about VAWA.

Could somebody help me with some really good links about VAWA which can provide useful VAWA info?

Me and my daughter are getting abused by my USC wife(daughter's step-mom). But at this moment I really need to understand what abuse really counts for VAWA and what not.

Also, I don't have any Police reports to show that. What else I need to get or do in order to make my claim strong?

Can my daughter (7 years old) file independently for VAWA? What would the supporting documentation for that?

God Bless All !
