See this memo from USCIS which describes how I-693 medical examinations can often be valid for more than one year: http://www.uscis.gov/USCIS/Laws/Memoranda/Static_Files_Memoranda/I693_Extension_PM_Approved_Final122012.pdf

It looks like it's already expired. It says it's effective till January 1, 2013.

A small update on my case - after having prima facie expired for 2 months, VSC finally sent me another one valid for 2 months. On September 14 it will be 15 months since I filed. I have not even got any RFE yet. The only good news is that I'm going back to work! Received an offer from the same company this week!

No, it says the previous memorandum is effective until that date, and that this one is effective through 30th September 2013.

This memo keeps getting re-authorised every year, and has been for the past ten years or so.

cielo14 temporary custody is award to one parent until the divorce is final and permanent custody is award when the divorce is final. If you prove that your child was doing well under your care then probably the Judge will grant you the child permanent custody. You need to prove your child is living in a safe environment and getting all his/her needs met ok.

cielo14 it depends of each Court, most Courts do not require a SS number to file for child custody, you just need to prove your status in the US, at least have your Vawa approval with you.(original letter)

There are many girls here from VJ that filed for custody when their Vawa cases were pending and most of them did not have a social security number in that time and they were able to have the custody awarded. You have to check the requirements for custody cases in your State.

I checked my mailbox today and at first sight I saw a package and some of it looked like the envelope I had use to send my paperwork to Vermont, first thing I thought was f*** they returned my package :(

Then I saw two more envelopes and caught hope again when I saw the uscis seal. The envelopes contained my receipts for ead and aos!!!

Sandra thank you again!!! My waiver was approved as well!!! :D

Cielo don't you worry I went thru hell with a custody battle my xhusband requested a social study which I passed with flying colors back then my i-360 was not approved yet, I had no ss# either... Just probe your good moral, if you go to church and assist to any type of classes ask your teacher if she/he would agree to give references about you, they can say how clean you always keep your children clothes and place where you live. I had a fridge with enough food and also stock pantry that had food my son would consume... Stuff like that

thank you sandra! but now i am still waiting my EAD and I do not have social security number i just h my I-360 approved I also have my two receipt number for my I-585 and my I-785. I can ask for temporaly custody until my divorve done.
