Hi dear friends, (especially F-1 students or Sandra)

Can anyone help me out regarding taking classes after VAWA approval but before the interview date, is there a way I can pay resident tuition and apply for FAFSA? If yes, which paperwork would I submit to the school?

Since, I don't have anymore prima facie, I don't know if it is possible, and I really want to take classes this semester.

Thank you for your help.

Please someone help me figure this out. I am trying to register for classes next week if possible

bambi5 you must have the documents required in the Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) not necessarily the prima facie. The student aid is for those seeking financial help in general.

Hi Sandra,

Thanks for replying.

I actually found it that I can nit apply for FAFSA since I have a higher degree.

But my main concern is how do I make the school understand that I should pay resident tuition now? My last status in that school was F-1, and I am confused about the paperwork to show them now that my VAWA is approved so that I can pay in-state tuition fees.

Thank you so much.

Man, my keyboard is crazy :-)

I only found information that records of finger prints from all visitors are kept since 2004 but it might not have to do much with your question hope Sandra or somebody can give you a better answer

I have a weird question: i just received my receipt notices on my i765 EAD,

i know i will have an appointment with them to get my biometrics, my question is i was detained by ICE and then released , no court date nothing yet. But when i was with ICE they took my fingerprints and picture. Will they connect it with the biometrics. IVE BEEN LOOKING ONLINE FOR ANYTHING SIMILAR BUT NOTHING.

citragilr yes they will connect with your arrest by ICE. When filling I-485 did you explain that? because there is one question in the form I-485 asking if you were arrested and what happened, once you explain you are good.

bambi5 in this case you have to show your alien registration or permanent resident card, and your alien registration is in your prima facie, but if the facie expired you have to show them you have a pending I-485..

I wrote on a seperate sheet a small paragraph on how I was with ICE and gave them a copy of my paperwork when I was release. So sandra does this mean if they connect it I won't have to do biometrics? Since they have them... So I might get my EAD a little faster no? I hope so. I need to work to support myself.

Let the course of divorce continue and make sure they add to the decree that you can apply for passport. In my divorce decree it states only I can apply for my son's passport, however, in my case I must notify the father that I applied for baby's passport. But I also have the unique right to have possession of my son's passport. All that thanks to a clause my attorney added to the divorce decree

Cielo, have you receive your ead?
