Panama Guy I went through something similar with my divorce. He ended up making me look like a drug addicted crazy person and obtained custody of my two daughters. I strongly suggest a good attorney. The truth is no where to be found in the courtroom unless you have a good attorney to find it for you. And attorneys are not required to tell the truth.

If social services becomes involved make sure you are on your best behavior always and do everything they say. Even volunteer to do more than they ask of you.

Sadly she probably now has a restraining order against you which will make it all the much harder. File for divorce today and have the judge enter an order that the wife cannot dispose of any of the property or you may come home to an empty house.

I was in a situation very similar to Panama-guy. My husband called the police on me for defending myself I was 7 months pregnant when he started pushing on my belly and hurting me. I bite him to try to get him off of me. He got extremely mad at me, he shook me as hard as he could, grabbed my phone, close himself in the bathroom (probably to make the bite marks more visible). When the cops came, they charged me with domestic violence because they didn't see any marks on me. They didn't arrest me because I was pregnant but I was still charged. Back then, I was ready to do whatever it takes to defend my baby. The cops we're stupid too, because they could have looked his record to see how he was arrested because of badly hitting me or maybe I was the one who was stupid for going back to him after suffering from him abusing me.

This was really an eye opener for me. I was lucky to have a domestic violent advocate who fought for me. Plus the people at the shelter I was staying at helped me a lot. My case was later dismissed after fulfilling all the volunteer works they have asked of me.

When I was in labor at the hospital, he came over to try to get me back. He couldn't control his temper and was pushing and hurting me in front of the nurses. The nursing staffs called the cops and he was banned from the hospital. I file a protective order against him. Child protective service was involved.

It was really a long story. I will not enough space to explain it. But anyway, he started abusing right after we got married. I have suffered a lot. Now I don't have anything to worry about because he is now in my past. I have my freedom, im safe and I have my green card. Glory to our heavenly father because he is great and he never forgets us in our trials. Hang in there Panama-guy. God will deliver you from your trials. At the end, your trials will turn into blessings. You will be strong and you will be able to move forward. Don't be discouraged, God is good and he sees it all. Nobody can foul him. Glory to God. I God was able to help me like this when I was in this deep dark place, he will help you too. However you need to have faith and pray everyday for victory. God bless you Panama-guy. I was in this situation and I totally understand where you coming from.

Good luck to everyone on visa journey. "Petit a petit l'oiseau fait son nid"

Things to make you go hmmmmm and make you cry..I thank God all is well now for you. I walk the streets and pray he does not attack me because I am ready to fight to the death if needs be. Especially now whn the IRS wrote me putting his tax bill on me and I called them asking for relief. They said I can get Spousal relief if I can show abuse..Eh heh!! I sent all my Vawa docs along with the approval. They said they will let him know that he is responsible to pay it so I know he will try to come at me.He moved 4 or 5 blocks away.. I am not scared any more.. I would move when I get Greencard but in the mean time God got my back and will protect me

See Below, copied and paste clipping from Sandranj when she commented , however ,CLASS 1B1..I dont know

If you have an approved Form I-360 and have been placed in deferred action, you are eligible to apply to work in the United States. To apply to work in the United States, you must file the Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, with the Vermont Service Center.

Your children listed on your approved Form I-360, may also apply for work authorization.

Permanent Residence (Green Card)

If you have an approved Form I-360, you may be eligible to file for a green card. Your children listed on your approved Form I-360 may also be eligible to apply for a green card

so what does that mean." you wont be deported in that 15months", this is all so confusing.

It is not confusing at all. Simple as it states, you wont be a TARGET FOR DEPORTATION with deferred action, its typically 125 months they give you. However your AOS is pending and if approved Then theres no problem but if denied i guess a problem but in the mean time all is well

Well Panama Guy, let me tell you for starters that you made a huge mistake giving your address...you should have just your lawyers address. but the damage is done already and you need a criminal defense lawyer and you have to plead not guilty, if you get a good lawyer your case will be dismissed. I do recommend you to print all the posts that you had in this forum as well, you might need to get more proof meanwhile.

I do have a situation too, my husband send me to jail..i don't want to get into details because it is already my past but God is so good that after 2 months, scared for my life i called 911 and the same cops came to my house and arrested him, they realized they made a mistake the time they took me because he lied. I had a good criminal defense lawyer and my case was dismissed. He had 3 charges when they took him to jail and he even denied thing in court...but i had proof of everything...you need to FOCUS and get the right help. Start getting a restraining order, doesn't matter if she already claimed one..get the injunction. You need a criminal defense lawyer and an immigration lawyer for your AOS.

Hello everyone. i m sure you guys are thinking that i got my
green card already and went on vacation. Yes i was taken away for a vacation
alright...to jail. My last few weeks is been nothing but crazy. my wife got in hold of the approval
notice in the mail before me. she research on it and found out what that was
and planned a evil trap for me. she come to the house with some of her friends and start to try to make me hit her
but i held off. so what she was trhow her self on me so i could have my prints on her body than
she start to hit her self at the furnitures and got some bruises. so she called the police and said that i hurted her and of course her friends supported the lie a i was taken away by the police
. i been waiting for my family to get a attorney to get me out and after a lot of fights with the court system they released me tody and i have to go see the judge mext month. my baby girl is with her and i m loosing my mind. my attorney is working on get this mess clear now. i m exausted, never been in jail in my life and its a horrible place.

Panama guy if you get a GREAT criminal attorney your case may be dismissed.File for divorce based ASAP based in extreme cruelty(mental abuse) and then maybe you will have a chance in the future to have custody of your child. You had a great chance before but not now in my opinion, maybe in the future if you have your divorce based in mental cruelty.

Hey guys

things are getting better for me. my attorney had a meeting with the state attorney that is prosecuting me about

the lies that my wife create. and he tild him about me and took affidavits from my friends and copy of my paoer work about the abuse,my wifes dad also did an affidavit ,he was affraid but ge did it anyway because he knows she is bad to me. my attorney also did a background check on her friends and showed it to the stafe

attorney to prove that it was all set up and she olanned it all. but the best part is that my neightbor

come forward and speak out last night i called her to say that i was out of jail and she tild me that she can testify that she heard everything and my wife starting the fight and trying to have me hurt her.i ask her to call my attorney and she did .

So after that conversation between my attorney and the state attorney,my wife may drop the charges because she may get in trouble if proven that it was a set up and her friends will be scare to appear in court due that they are all on probation and was suppose to be out of trouble and not out on the streets late at the time that the incidente happen at my house. I will know monday when the state attorney call my attorney but he said that he will advice her to drop the charges if she is liying because the truth will come out in court and if she is lying things can get wirse for her.
