hi Sandra I email back the form to congress man office and also a letter telling them my siyuation with my daughter and they sent it off to uscis like two hours after so what should I do now are what do you think gonna happen you are a god send san has you are guiding me in right direction

cielo14 i answered your questions through pm message, but here is a brief explanation if someone is facing the same issues. If you have children and want to move out of the State then go to the Court file for child custody and ask the Judge authorization to take the child out of the State.If you fear for you life get a restraining order against the abuser as well.

finally26122012 Vawa Unit supposed to take 72 hours to answer any congress person request,but usually they take between 7/10 days, then just hang in there and soon you will find out what's going on with your case ok.Keep us posted.

Bambi5 It took me about 2 weeks to get receipts. I mailed them on July 1st and on July 11th they mailed me receipts. On July 22nd I received a letter for biometrics appointment.

Sandra the young of which I speak is not to move to another State she only wants to move from a city to another but in the same State (VA) where it is located it is undocumented and is married to a citizen who has told she everything to frighten it as if she takes the children of the House police will deport she is terrified and wants to move with the children to the shelter or a an aunt's House, she want to move to the city where I live that he is in two hour where she lives with her husband still she is suffering extreme psychological violence, she needs to know are the steps that they have to follow in order to be able to go with your children without having any problem

Ciel014 i suggest what i said before hse should file for custody of the children,otherwise he can report her for "parental kidnapping", once she does not have to move out of the State she should just to go to the court to file for child custody.She should file for Vawa asap at least she will have some status when fighting for custody.

Congrats to all approvals! I have been waiting for 14 months now. Not sure what else I can do to make them finally review my case. I took info pass two weeks ago, they told me I will receive a letter within 2 weeks and nothing.

Obmundsman office responded saying: It appears that USCIS was supposed to reach out to you last month. I have forwarded your inquiry to follow-up on your case. Someone should be in touch with you shortly, either from our office or USCIS.

Hopefully, they will get back to me with some result. Not sure what order VSC follows that some cases get approved in 8 months and some people wait 14-16 months. This waiting game has been very painful...

I just recieved this today even though i received the letter last week regarding the transfer, they sent me this via email stating its being processed at " A USCIS OFFICE" <<<<<<<<<< ITS MOVING QUICK YAWL

The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

To God be the Glory!!!! My I-360 was approved today! I filed in December 2012. I got no RFE. I hired an attorney but Visajourney gave me a ton of information. Sandranj you are truly God sent and I thank you a lot for all the info you gave us all. Mine was a mental abuse case I did not submit any letter from a therapist. But I had a ton of information or evidence about my abuse including a police report and many others. I have been praying a lot and God answered me. I have a beautiful daughter from that marriage and she is the best gift ever! My fellow vawa applicants don't stop praying God answers prayer. Today is the happiest day of my life. The good lord has put laughter in my mouth and he will do same for everyone here.

Tell her to follow this advise before he does something... My ex husband was able to take my baby away from me (even tho I was breastfeeding) he alleged that I threaten him to kidnap the baby to Mexico[ so he got a writ of attachment in a snap... Also I had to go thru social studies while fighting custody, and having vawa pending helped much to prove I had no intentions to kidnap my kid and that I was working on fixing my status and be able to provide for my son
