Hi everyone.

This is my first time to post because I need your help, so I appreciate if you can give me some idea.

I was approved I-360 VAWA application last month after I waited more than a year. I am so happy about that. However, I have some questions.

The first question is how long does it take to have interview for I-485 after VAWA approval.

The second is why my daughter's EAD was transferred to NBC after she sent I-765 to VSC.

Jul 2011: Entered into the U.S.A (CA)

Aug 2011: Got married to US citizen

Sep 2011: Filed I-485,I-765 with my daughter in Chicago

Dec 2011: RFE for I-485

Feb 2012: Filed I-360 in VSC. My daughter's name was on it as devised child.

May 2012: Got I-765 for botu us

Mar 2013: Filed I-765 for renewal

May 2013: I-360 RFE

Jun 2013: I-360 RFE again

Jul 2013: I-360 got approved and received EAD. My daughter filed I-765 for renewal at VSC but it was transferred to NBC.

olyasia you can ask them to approve. First tell the story how you met him, courtship,wedding and tell in DETAILS all abuse suffered,if you are telling your story with base in mental abuse then mention where,when and how you felt with the abused suffered mention each circumstance if he isolated,degraded,humiliated,threatened you, called you names,if he told you to give him email and facebook password,if he prohibited to talk to your family or friends, if he did not allow you to go out alone or to use make up, if he made remarks about your look,weight etc...if he threatened to call immigration to deport you, if he accused you of infidelity, if he forced you to have sex with him etc... Explain in details everything,Submit a PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION as well(minimum 7 pages maximum 11).To prove good moral character submit a police clearance of each place you lived in the United States and write down a letter stating you were never arrested or charged in your home Country and worldwide and you are a person of good moral character..

GNA23 in September 2012 USCIS started transferring some work (petitions)to a Field Office or the National Benefits Center (NBC in order to balance the overall workload with processing capacity.Vermont is responsible to receive Vawa petitions and work permit (filed by Vawa filers), but they are transferring some work to NBC.

Regarding AOS interview it may take 3/6months, it depends the workload of each local office, some local offices are taking 9/10 10 months to set up an interview.

I think in the next few days im going to apply for EAD i765 myself.. because my lawyer is not picking up my calls or returning my emails... ive already left two messages with the secretary. Anybody filed i765 and i485 alone? Advice? Kinda scared to do it alone, my lawyer helped me with the i360 and got prima facie..

I'll do it myself too... I'll follow some of Sandra's advise she even posted the order how to send the papers inside the envelope. I am just waiting on Medicaid approval for my son so I can send it with I-912

Czzr I've done both forms myself. My I-485 was accepted and I-765 was approved yesterday. I followed all the instructions which are posted on USCIS site and all the postings from Sandranj in this VAWA part 4 thread were very helpful.

I would suggest that you go over instructions few times and you are good to go. Good luck!

I have a lawyer but I did it on my own, I signed papers myself as well. I filled out form I765 according to instructions, I was filing it with I485. I included all the required documents from the instructions, also included for I-912 asking to wave the fees both for I765 and I485. A week after I received receipts and about two more weeks I got approval. So the whole process took about 3 weeks in total.
