Good day sandranj can you please help me I when I apply for vawa I did fee weaver now today I went back to renew my work permit and my lawyer says I have to pay work permit fee of $465 isn't supose to still be free like how its a renewal

If you have a pending 485 then you can apply for work permit using c 9 category free of cost , but if it is only on the basis of vawa , you need to pay the fee. Thats what I was advised by Sandranj.

Hi , what was the category that you filled for this? If you have a pending 485 , apply for 765 with category c 9 without sending any fee . You just need to send a copy of your previous one(ead) with this and a copy of notice of action of 485 ,you may also include vawa approval.This is what I have learnt from Sandranj and Anajnic.

finally2612 you don't t have to pay to renew your EAD,if your husband is an US.Citizen file using category C 9.

Tell your lawyer the only category who has to pay biometric fee ($80)is C 33,all others pay $380, but your case is renewal, if you have a pending I-485 you don't have to pay to renew your EAD.

Does anybody know if there will be further request about the employment info that goes in form G325A given that I didn't have a work permit the last 5 years, I mean would I have any issues or rfe as a result ??? :3

citragirl if you worked 5 years without work permit they will forgive you, you will not have any problem because of that, but you cannot work one single day without permit after filing papers with USCIS ok

This year I got a two day job starting 04-13 so is it ok to fill out the first line where it says present or should I quit first to have an end date? Thanks you for your response, I was a little worried because somewhere it' says that people who worked before work permit are not eligible :3

If I go back 5 years I worked from 2008-2010 I stopped before I got married, then no work till this year, I baked cakes last year to help my expenses tho :3

Its 7 days later, but 2 of those days was the weekend. ull get it today or tomorrow. If you got the email on the 30th, they would have mailed it off on the 31st.Hang in there buddy. congrats
