Sandranj and Anajnic , earlier before i got approval for my current 765 , my lawyer filed the first one filing c(9) option and it was denied. Then I checked forums and applied using c(31) and it was approved .So I would really appreciate your help ,if you guys can take out your little time in guiding this less prior user.

Thank You!

Godgreat23 ask your lawyer to read the I-765 instruction page 8 where it states about renewal EAD.I couldn't copy and paste here, but as your lawyer he needs at least to know about Immigration Law.

Lawyer doestn`t answer my calls right away. I have to do the research my self.Let me go online and check.

I told you c9 , you said your attorney did it that way and it got denied. When she did c3 it got approved so what else is there to say. im lost but its a very simple form,I have done it on my own without any help from any one and it got approved twice without any hiccups. ill look at the form again

I have no idea of c31, and if it ddnt pertain to me i wouldnt have a need to be bothered with it. I did it twice on my own without any help never paid a fee. I used category c9 and thats what it is. I dont care of c31, dont need c31 and dont care to know of c31 if it has nothing to do with the filing for EAD

C-9 is for an EAD based on a pending I-485.

I think C-31 is for approved VAWA without having filed an I-485, and in addition you have to show economic need for your EAD to be issued. With a C-9 it's automatic, as long as you are filing an I-485 or have already done so.

I never showed economic need for EAD both times..

The category C 31 should be used in the form I-765 if the alien had form I-360 approved, and the alien does not have a pending I-485

C 9- if the alien has a I-485 pending

C 14 -if the alien have I-360 approved with deferred action and does not have a pending I-360.

Hello everyone! Im new here and find this thread very helpful. I recently filed my i360 and my i485 the other day. Im on a tourist visa.thats why im here in the us. My husband who is my abuser is a us citizen. The abused happened in a different country but my husband is a government employee he works for military sealift command. Anyone who can can give me an idea what are my chances of approval? I included my police report and medical records. Coz the last time he hurt me i ended up with my right wrist in a cast because of a bad sprain and also bruises in my head coz he hit my head on the wall twice. I did my application on my own with the help of my sister who is also here but she is a us citizen. Me and my husband has a daughter together who is a uscitizen also.
