Hi, congrats on your approval! Could you please tell me if you filed I360 and I485 concurrently and how long you were waiting on your interview date after your I360 got approved? I would really appreciate it!

Thank you!

God bless!

emonezama the Matter of Chawathe, 25 I&N Dec. 369,375 (AAO 2010)is explaining that In order to be naturalized as US.Citizen the individual must reside continuously in the United States as a lawful permanent resident for at least 5 years before submitting an application for naturalization ( VAWA CASES JUST 3 YEARS is necessary to prove)s)and the person has to prove he/she was physically present in the United States for at least one half of the required residency period. The period the individual is living abroad breaks the continuity of residence, but if the individual proves he/she was working abroad for an American company then the person will preserve the residence for naturalization.

Are you thinking to work abroad after receiving the green card? if the answer is "yes" then you need to file I-131 reentry permit, if the answer is "not" then the Matter of Chawathe does not apply to your case.

Bambi5 It took me about 2 weeks to get receipts. I mailed them on July 1st and on July 11th they mailed me receipts. On July 22nd I received a letter for biometrics appointment.

Thank you so much dear Lank. Now I have an idea of the timelines.

Good luck again for everything.
