USCIS had sent me an email stating a letter was mailed. when I called them they said , they have no record of that, not too long after, like about a day, I receieved the letter.. These people are reading from a screen so dont worry too much because thye wont give any information which is indeed frustrating. Now that you have waitied soo long why would you wanna give up now.You will be approved in the name of Jesus. Its just different for men and that sucks, You have your daughter to think about so hang in there.. Its soon over..Hugss

Thats why i come to this forum because its the only place that i can find people that understant what i m going thru.

Panama-guy I am very sorry to hear what you are going through but I am not surprised. Ombudsman’s Office told me that VSC expedited my petition and I should hear from them shortly. It was over two months ago. I don't know where they take that information from. I would not advise on relying on anything they say.

Do not cancel your peitition. As belinda said you won't gain anything from doing that. I really hope you'll get approved soon!

Hey forum friends

Now the frustation is taking over. I been waiting for 1 week and half for that letter that Ombudsman’s Office said that was send to me by VSC with a decision on my case and so far nothing. I think if they had issued anything it would be here by now, 10 days is more than enought for a letter to come in from VSC to Miami. So i decided to call the VSC as Ombudsman’s Office told me in the email to do if i havent received the letter.

So when I spoke with someone today they told me that they cannot release no information about my case because its a sensitive application BUT he would answer any general question I have. So the only question I need to ask is if they mail anything to me and when... so his answer was , NO we have not mailed you anything and the case is pending with a adjucator.......

I m done with this. Just can't torture myself anymore I have to say that I m about to send a letter cancelling my VAWA and just accept that my life will be like this forever and I will have to follow my wife rules , be abused , probrably get HIV and all others that have out there from her because she uses me for sex when she is high on drugs and dont want me to protect myself, and be whatever she want me to be. Thats the only way I m going to be able to stay around my baby girl and protect her from my wife. I cant think of anything else to do at this moment. It look like they lost my case and everytime i or someone enquire on it , they check and cant find it ont he shelfs or with a adjucator they just find a stupid answer to give. I m almost 9 months over the processing time showing at USCSI website.

Do not give up Panama-guy...the end is near .

Panamguy dint give up. I have had my struggles and while going through it i thought I couldn't take it anymore but when I look back I do with gratitude cause I always see At the end why God made me go through it. It's hard going through it we all know that but keep praying god has a plan for all of us He sees and knows it all. Your approval is coming soon. Feel free to come and talk to us anytime we are here for u even when you don't want to talk. Our patience has all gone thin at times but just hold on a lil longer its coming buddy.

Panama Guy let's go back to square one, get a lawyer and ask him to draft a "writ of mandamus".. I am sorry I can't help you with that,because is advised you have a lawyer in your State to handle this situation better.

Wait until Friday if you do not get a letter then make a payment plan with your attorney if you have to file the writ or if you don';t have to file in Court ok,because first he drafts and he sends copy to the Attorney General and Vawa Unit to let them know you will act if they do not act, 99% of the times they act very fast after getting the attorney letter, and in case your lawyer doesn't have to file the writ of mandamus he should charge less.But do not give up man.

Panama guy ask your attorney to draft first an official Complaint Letter explaining that your case has unreasonable delay in adjudicating , and if your case is not adjudicated in 15 days a civil suit will be filed in the Federal Court, and tell him not to forget to send copy of the complaint to:

1-USCIS Vermont Service Center;

2-Assistant Center Director, Adjudication Division of USCIS Vermont Service Center

3-Office of the General Counsel, U. S. Department of Homeland Security

4-Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman, U. S. Department of Homeland Security

5- US Attorney (Florida) District

Wait 15 days if they do not adjudicate then file the writ of mandamus with the Federal Court.

I am really and truly sorry for what your going through. please like everyone says, hang in there and pull yourself together. this journey takes a loooong time and can be quite frustrating at times, but everything eventually comes to an end and you will eventually get your papers and leave that abusive relationship. try to focus on positive things with your child and, it might not be easy but try to block the negative issues mentally. i wish you the very best of luck and you have here the VJ family to give you moral support...Am sending prayers your way, it shall be well.

Thanks to all of you that give me encouragement to keep going. it really help to hear it .

I m staying hopefull that somethign will happen this week and get me out of this deep dark place.

Sandra I will follow your advice and if nothing comes in by friday i will have the lawyer doing the paper work you suggested.
