nothingando you need to get some letter stating they lost your file, first email the Uscis ombudsman and once he answers back saying they lost you file then you use his letter and you have to "reconstruct" your case again. You should submit the Uscis receipt, appt notice for biometrics and copy of all documents you submitted along with form I-485. yes I saw some cases they lost the application.

Panama guy it's up to you hiring a lawyer but your lawyer won't be able to do anything besides inquiring Vawa unit and your former lawyer, you and the congress person inquired already. You will just spend money for no reason. They won't give any information different just because you hired a lawyer. If you really want to make noise then file a writ of mandamus well they will adjudicate your case before you finish subpoena all agencies. The writ of mandamus is to force Uscis to adjudicate a case that is out of processing time. Don't worry they won't retaliate because you are doing that. You need a lawyer it's a very complex process but every time i filed the mandamus in 48hours they adjudicated the case because they won't to spend money with a law suit against them.

Thank you Sandra

Thats what i m gonna do. because if i just wait quiet , they will keep pushing my case and wont look at it.

Thank you very much, Sandranj.

I sent an email to Vermont Center yesterday already, i will wait a few days for the answer from Vermont Center, if they really couldn't find my files, i

will write a statement to USCIS Ombudsman. it is sucks.
