cielo14 you should renew your passport to attend the interview,but you can send now a copy of the expired passport.

hi sandra,

so for i 485 interview based on approved i 360 do you need a current passport or expired passport will work, also what is the processing time for interview date? 5 or 6 months?

Happy 4 july, everyone !:o

Sandra you know some place o instituccion in Richmond Virgina, that help to domestic violence women, with money. One mother and her two children , they really need to move to other house o apartment.She was called several time at the shellter for looking help, but we ca not help them, becauae they are in a different city and she want to move go back at Charlosteville Va, but she need money for rent an apartment .... it is a difficult time for her ! you know any places to help them, she is under vawa process also she has a prima face, but the social services in Richmond need a social services number for help them, She not have one becauae her husband is LPR!

Ive been busy but still try to keep up with the thread. Congrats to all who've gotten recent approval.

08/2012 Discussed my immigration issues with a lawyer

08/2012 Started gathering evidence

11/2012 Paid my deposit (forgot to sign documents)

01/2013 Signed documents

02/19/2013 Vsc received my application

02/22/2013 NOA mailed out

My lawyer has a prima facie never collected it Caz I don't need any benefit at this time.

03/05/2013 EAD mailed out (actual ead date, it will expire 03/04/2014)

03/08/2013 Lawyer received biometrics for 3/17/2013 (day after my edd, [expected due date] did early walking 3/12/13)

03/29/2013 Card in hand (lawyer received it abt a week earlier but I delivered so was unable to collect it)

Waiting for my i360 approval but I'm in no rush (good things come to those who wait)

8/14/13 i360 approved. :)

10/8/2013 aos interview. .. approved :)

10/9/2013 status adjust to lpr and welcome package mailed out.

8/15/2013 I484 transfered to local office. :)

naptime you re inelegible to apply for AOS until your waiver is granted,here is what states the Immigration Law.

8CFR 245.1

"© Ineligible aliens . The following categories of aliens are ineligible to apply for adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident alien under section 245 of the Act: (Added 10/1/94; 59 FR 51091 )

.(2) Except for an alien who is applying for residence under the provisions of section 133 of the Immigration Act of 1990, any alien who has or had the status of an exchange visitor under section 101(a)(15)(J) of the Act and who is subject to the foreign residence requirement of section 212(e) of the Act, unless the alien has complied with the foreign residence requirement or has been granted a waiver of that requirement, under that section. An alien who has been granted a waiver under section 212(e)(iii) of the Act based on a request by a State Department of Health (or its equivalent) under Pub. L. 103-416 shall be ineligible to apply for adjustment of status under section 245 of the Act if the terms and conditions specified in section 214(k) of the Act and Sec. 212.7©(9) of this chapter have not been met; (Amended 5/18/95; 60 FR 26676 ) "

Biometrics are only valid for 15 months. If it's been over 15 months since you had them captured then you will need to do them again.

If it's inside 15 months then likely one (or more) of your fingerprints weren't clear, and your background check with the FBI wasn't able to be completed because of that, so they ask for them again.
