I am posting here the interview of one member of VJ. She left VJ long time ago. I helped her with Vawa and it was approved without RFE, it took 13months to have her Vawa adjudicated ,plus 8 months with NBC.She never received any email from USCIS saying her case was transferred from NBC to local office.

She lives 5 hours away from USCIS (Florida). She got a letter to have her interview today at 10am, and her fingerprints done at 10.30am,since her fingerprints was taken almost 2 years ago. She said the whole interview took 15min. The female officer asked her questions of the form I-485, those questions to say yes or no, then the adjudicator asked to see her passport she showed the expired passport and proof that she applied last month to get a new one , original birth certificate, original marriage certificate, asked if she was still married she said yes, that is it, and then the alien said I have pictures and some documents with me regarding my marriage the officer said "your I-360 was approved I don't have to see anything. You will get your GC in 2months after FBI send us your fingerprints, go to do your fingerprints now. If in two months you don't receive your green card , wait two more months, and if you still don't get your GC then contact us". The officer did not ask any proof of her husband status.

If thats the case why kitty kitty without a green card because she ddnt have husbands birth paper or proof of residency or something to that effect, why dd he ask me my husbands status.Do you think I made that up?Im just curios thats all. I ddnt have to redo fingerprint despite it being 18 months old but now this woman has to redo fingerprints. Again , I'm just curios

ANAJNIC i don't know why they asked you and kitty kitty, all cases I had they never asked to see the alien's spouse birth certificate at the interview, i use to send it a copy when filing Vawa that is it. I asked USCIS many times to search the spouse status in their system because the aliens didn't have proof of citizenship or naturalization and USCIS always searched and approved the cases without the alien showing the spouse's birth certificate and never asked at the interview since the aliens didn't have as well, but there are cases such as Macfee visa journey member that they denied as well, his lawyer appealed the decision because there is a memorandum from USCIS stating if the alien doesn't have proof of the status of the spouse USCIS should look in their system and make all effort possible to find the spouse status ,including searching with IRS and DMV,

ohhh nooooo!!!!! but don't be depressed, it has happened to another before and then 1 or 2 weeks later they got the approval.Be hopeful please. Depression can take you out especially now.God is gonna work it out.. please state the type of questions they asked so others can know. Thanks

Thank you anajnic,

I hope that will happen to me as well.

Basically, my adjudicator went through 80% of my old I-485 to make sure everything current (2nd name, date of birth, date of marriage, parents name, and a bunch of questions that you're supposed to answer no, current address, phone, school and work, etc.) So memorize everything you put in there. These took us the most time. The only question about marriage is date of marriage, and am I still married or divorced.

The only documents I was asked to provide were ID, passports, new medical exam, and my birth certificate (which is a copy with seal). She kept nothing but the medical exam.

I have my attorneys with me, but they just sat there and listened. I answered everything.

Yah, that's basically it. Nothing about bona fide marriage.

Apple2013, did you bring all documents to show bonafide marriage?l believe some officer cannot make a decision immediately because they have to check with supervisor..l hope all will be well..

I did bring them but the officer did not ask for it, not even marriage license.

Thank you for you info. I hope I will receive the good news in one week or I'll soon to have a heart attack. I now just study and study days and nights so I don't stress myself out over this.

apple2013 when the adjudicator is new working with Vawa cases he/she is not allowed to give a decision without having their supervisor signing the case. Then don't worry you will be fine just give 7/10 days and they will approve your case.

Thank you Sandranj,

I am crossing fingers hoping this is the case.

blest.but strest don't submit video and audio because they will reject your whole package. I would try to go down to 13 pages maximum, yes after reading 10 they are almost giving up reading. If you want I review your affidavit feel free to email me.

Yes I would like to send it to u can u please give me ur email.

Thank for the advice about the audio and video but can u please tell me why they would reject the package because of that?

Concerning the psychological evaluation I have seen other post from u saying that 6 pages including test... etc should be fine, 13 pages psychological evaluation is more than my what the length of the 10 page declaration u advised me to send uscis!

I appreciate all ur advice,

thank u soo much sandranj

Blast.but.strest there is a difference between a mediocre, good, great, amazing psychological.evaluation,a 6 /8pages is good, not great or amazing.I never posted a 6pages is an amazing evaluation ,your chances increase or decrease considering how good is your evaluation if your psychologist mentioned history of the relationship, onset of problems in details covering everything you told him/her,treatment recommended, diagnose, tests performed, number of sessions then You are good ,but i really don't see how the psychologist covered all these things in 4 pages.

No one lawyer has to tell the psychologist how the evaluation should be,the professional should be good enough to draft an evaluation with all points I mentioned without anyone telling him/her.Last week I read a 22 pages evaluation and it's one of most perfect I ever read, how one immigration officer will say he didn't suffer abuse after reading something like that?they won't,despite the officer are well trained they can't refut an evaluation covering all aspects of the abuse. I will send through pm my email.
