Lol,thanks Charles, I say so because i know for a fact i was not appreciated to the point where i was inboxed with the said statement that some Vawa filers did not like me. Folks ddnt know me but ddnt like me which is and was fine. My journey here is done , and 3years God willing I file citizenship. Glory to God. I hope soon enough people will realize that if their heart is not in a right place, it can be a major hurdle for blessings.. Hows your case doing so far Sir charles?

I'm waiting for an interview date at this point. I try not to think about it, it helps with the waiting. :)

There are a couple folks who are having interviews in the next week. I wish you success in this journey. Be calm, breathe and most importantly pray. SPEAK THE TRUTH!! If you don't remember stuffs , say i don't remember, They know the truth so when they ask you stuff they know already the answer. Ask God to guide your words and to give you favor with the adjudicator because if these people come to work with issues. Hang in there guys.My interview was easy , it doesn't always go that way. Please have every document they request on the interview Letter ready and then some. Don't forget to take with you original documents , very important

Hi Sandra,

I have a question. My I360 was approved in July 2013, I filed the i485 in August 2013 and did the biometrics in October 2013 and right now I'm just waiting for an interview date. I already have a work permit (dreamer) and have been employed by a company now for almost a year. The company is now requiring me to travel to a mandatory company meeting abroad coming up. This is something I didn't know prior to being employed and is not stated in my employment contract i signed. If I do not attend, I will be fired.

I can't stress enough this is strictly for work and is not my home country nor is it for vacation. I can provide work related documents that prove this. My question is, at this point, should I apply for a travel document to go abroad? if I do, will it hurt my case? Is it a risk and what are the chances that they would not let me back in the country?

Or

Should I just wait for the inteview date since its nearing that point. If so, how soon after the interview date will I be able to travel?

Or

Should I start looking for a new job now?

I honestly feel railroaded by this and can't help but think this is sort of retribution for me being on a work permit. It had been expressed to me the second day that they didn't like the fact that I was on a work permit and they felt that I should've notified them prior to being employed. Keep in mind it's illegal to discriminate against the immigration status of those who can legally work in the US.

I do like my job and do not want to be fired but I know what takes priority at the end of the day. Thanks for your help.

Hey guys congrats to new approvals and residents. Just a quick update on my case. Waiting on greencard interveiw. My case was transfered to NBC in October. I did info pass last Friday and officer said case is still at NBC they started background check in dec and it usually takes 3 months. So if I don't hear them by march come to them. He said Those cases take anywhere from 9-12 months to schedule interveiw. So based on wat he is saying march will be 3 months for background check time deadline (who knows with Uscis) and 9 months of waiting. God knows I have learned patience on this journey . Hopefully we all get good news soon. Good luck!!!!

I have heard of people traveling on Advance Parole successfully, but as they say in my country "gopaul luck aint seepaul luck" I ddnt apply for one and would never advise someone to do it. Some folks are braveeee!!.Nevertheless, weigh the pros and cons, to me its better to get another job than the risks of coming back and encountering problems. My heart couldn't take it, Advance Parole takes about 3 months if I'm not sure. And no, it does not hurt your case, just might be a problem returning.BENB stated he did it without problems.

Sir charge those had travelled with Advance parole they were able to reenter because they kept their status the entire time when living in the US.Travelling abroad can trigger the 3/10year bar even if the alien travels with advance parole . But the Board of immigration ruled that the alien travelling with advance parole is considered that he/she does not "depart" from the US when using LAw a,nd then it won't trigger the 3/10bar.

Keep in mind is not a law it's decision of the BIA,and in case you travel abroad and in your return you are considered inadmissible then they will.deny your return, and you.have to hire a lawyer to petition to the Court in order for you to return to the US. We don't know hoW immigration officers will handle each case. It's risky and I would not take the chance.

OMG!!! Another update, my case was transfered to my local office. Thank you Jesus!!! Anajnic, they seem to be reading your mind.....lol

I think uscis system might have some glitch cause myself and many others here when got transfered first got an email saying it was transfered to NBC then another saying to local office but it never went to local office but has remained at NBC. Hopefully u might be an exception but just letting u know so in case you do an info pass and they say it's at NBC don't be surprise. Good luck!!

Sir charge the adjudicator will tell you right away if your Gc was approved and usually 7/10 days after the interview they mail the GC. To be sure how the officers are handling cases of advance parole at the port of entry then go to infopass to find out.If you don't have AP they will take 90days to issue one

Anajnic ,

I am so happy that you finally got your card in hands. I am pretty sure it feels good. Also congratulations to all you who have their cases recently approved . May God make the rest easy for you all . Please don`t forget to share your experiences the way Anajnic did . She is a fantastic person . I read a lot of her reactions and I am surprised to see why people will feel negativity about others while we are all here for the same reasons. As for me,I am still waiting on the decision regarding my case . I submitted the response to my RFE since August 2013. I haven`t heard from them since except a prima Facie notice issued in September which eventually expired in November . I have contacted my congressman office as per Sandraj `s advice and they got back to me last Thursday with a reply from USCIS. Uscis said that my case will be hand delivered to an Immigration Officer to adjudicate because it is out of processing time. Hopefully I will hear good news when they touch my case in the upcoming weeks. I first submitted my case in November 2011 and I am still here waiting
