my lawyer contacted NBC and this is what they sent,

A review of our systems shows that Case xxx, Form I-485 for xxx was transferred from the Vermont Service Center to the NBC on xxx and is currently pending. This case has been identified as a VAWA case. The NBC will perform background checks and establish a safe address for the applicant. This case will then be forwarded to the field office of jurisdiction for further processing and adjudication. The field office will schedule the interview. The NBC cannot provide any time frame for this case at this time.

my file been seating in nbc for four months and this is all they can say.

Mine was for exactly 4 months as well.Hang in there. When it transferred to local,i had interview 1 month later

Congratulations anajnic!!! I'm so happy for you:) good things will come your way now...

That's awesome you had a French interviewer. Mine was American. She was very intimidated. The interview took about 1 hour and i could have been screwed without my attorney's presence because my case was so complicated. Just like you i submitted my biometrics with all my papers at the very beginning and they stay valid until the end of the process, Valid for 3 years.

glory to the almighty!!! Go out and celebrate. today is a big day girlie:)

Oh yes anajnic! You were very lucky. Mine even asked me about the abuse. she went into every details. I would have loved to have a French adjudicator! Would have made it a lot more comfortable to be able to speak your own language:) well either way, we got our green cards and nothing else matters! I would love to be able to celebrate with you:)

Adjudicators are not permitted to ask about the abuse in an I-485 interview after your VAWA I-360 has already been approved.

As I said above, not all adjudicators are fully aware of the law.

No idea. Likely if a lawyer was attending the interview he would step on any such questions by the adjudicator, but by yourself I don't know. Generally you answer any questions put to you, but they are not meant to be able to ask you about the abuse; I know Sandra has also posted that is how things are meant to be, also.

Anajnic you already know how happy I am for you. I am so happy for you because it gives me hope and now you are free and that's priceless. I have always predicted my own timeline base on yours, I know my interview is not happening anytime soon and I should wait a couple more months; this brings me to Sandra, please Sandra I have a question I file for I 485 in late September I did fingerprint and got ead and I ound out my file was transfered to my local office... Turns out it wasn't instead it was transfered to St. Albans. I bet it just throws my interview in a distant future but as a sucker for punishment I would like to have a confirmation. Sandra ? Anyone help?

Thanks and anajnic we need to celebrate. Maybe I will see you guys on feb 1st but honestly I hope it's on another date because I'm not sure i will make it. Will see.
