Anajnic, when is your interview again?

Mine is not coming soon I guess... :-( so sad... I wander if my ex wife is doing something that will damage my case?!! So tired of this, hope all of us will be done soon with this!

its soon, i ddnt mention the date because of reasons like yours. the majority of EXs knows of visa journey and then some. I will let yawl know how it goes. its pretty soon

Did you do new fingerprints? What about medical?

It was based on Vawa approved, ddnt have to do new fingerprints ,last fingerprints was done in may of 2012. I just completed medicals and is taking it with me as they requested to do interview letter

piper2013 your information is not correct,any alien can get work permit with pending l485 if the spouse is a USC .You don't need to have have vawa approved to get work permit.

I stand corrected! Sorry about the misinformation, I was wrong.

I'm not sure how safe it is to file I-485 and I-360 concurrently. If the person is out of status, doesn't a denial of the concurrent application put the person at a risk of deportation proceedings?

piper2013 your information is not correct,any alien can get work permit with pending l485 if the spouse is a USC .You don't need to have have vawa approved to get work permit.

My ex-spouse is a USC who even had submitted an I-130 for me before the end of our relationship. I even had a priority date (which was 1.5 years ago). Then the relationship ended and I withdrew the original application based on that I-130. Months later I filed the I-360. As a result, my priority date did not transfer. On the NoA for my current I-485 the space for the priority date is even blank. I wish there was a way I could transfer my old priority date. I there anything I can do about that? Or is it too late because my case is already at the NBC?

Piper2013 there is no priority date for spouses of US Citizens ,just for spouses of green card holder. You are waiting like everyone married to a US citizen are waiting . A spouse of a US Citizen has always a visa number available. It does not mean because your ex wife filed l130 two years ago your case will be different from those who filed yesterday,you have to wait not to have a priority date but because they take time adjudicating all cases .

Filing l485 and l360 concurrently it will result in removal if the vawa is denied,and the same it applies for those who submitted l485 when living with their spouses,and filed l360 alone.

Oooops I meant the fafsa $5600 is NOT enough for my masters program.

same situation here my freind. my financial aid was 5600 but my tuition is 15,600 for this semester im doing a bachelor in nursing. don t know if i can have loan with vawa approved ? if not so if u had a cosigner salli mae would have giving you Loan? please let me know bcse my brother can help school start on 26 and i haven t figure out how to paid for my tuition

Well I believe sallie mae would have approved my school loan if I had a co signor who is a US citizen with a Good credit score. So if your brother has that you can definitely give it a try.

They don't care about vaccination record from your country.All was done over and it costs me425$ . It can run anywhere from 400 to 800$. Mine was average price. All original docs, Birth paper,marriage certificate, i864w, divorce decree (from previous marriage),passport, EAD,ss card, birth paper of my husband and I94 thats about it. I have all my documents from i360 so that is with me.Im taking also other proofs of bonafide marriage ,some more pics

Hi everyone,

It will be a little more than 8 months since my Vawa was approved. My interview is coming up in few more weeks. Mine has never been transferred to NBC. USCIS website has never updated my case since I changed my address a year ago. So anyone waiting, your file could be sitting in your local office waiting for your interviews to be scheduled.

In the interview letter, they want me to bring my medical exam results but I already submitted it 2 years ago along with my I-485 when I was with my ex-husband, and I don't have any copy of it except my immunization record. Should I redo it because it has been 2 years?

They also ask for proof of bonafide marriage. Isn't that just for I-360 petition? My lawyer sent in most of my original documents, I hope she still keeps a copy of everything.

Do you know what question they will be asking based on your previous clients? I am so worried as the interview date comes close.
