They will likely RFE you for a missing I-693 if you don't submit it with the I-485, and all processing on your applications will cease until you provide it. It's highly recommended to include it with your original submission.

Yea I intend to include the i693 but its based solely on if I have the $500 for it. I won't delay my package when I know there is no way of getting the money. Except a miracle happens before I'm ready to send in my package? I will send in the Aos without a properly filled i693 medical. But I'm praying

I think my best choice is to file I-360, I-765, I-192 with all the necessary extra information and wait a year.

Does the EAD have a time limit on it. I would work and use the money to do the medical and AOS?

Is it absolutely necessary to have a psychologist for domestic violence and refusing to do my AOS? Even though I would find one who is free I still have to have travel expenses. My wife would have to take me there or have time off work so that I could go on the bus and I have no idea of an excuse that I would tell her.

There are 2 types of people in life. One of them are folks who do what is necessary to get something done and the other is the one who does whats convenient to get things done. You want to do whats convenient and that my friend is NOT how vawa operates. If you do not want to do whats necessary your case will be denied.Sandranj told you to seek shelter elsewhere, yet you are concerned about your wife finding out. Which means you are still living there and probably intends too with your potential claim. The outcome is up to you, the adjudicators are not stupid. Is either you take time and figure out what it is you really want to do instead of filing a haphazard claim that has the propensity for a denial.

i765 was filed after i filed i360 and i485. that was my choice to do so. they did not give me time to submit i693 until I got my interview letter that stated i should bring it with me to the interview, meaning I was not RFE.THIS DOES NOT WORK FOR EVERYONE.I was just blessed that it was so for me

John the painful truth is that there is no short cut and there is a due process. So you must submit all documents needed to proof your case. You can't even be thinking of AOS when your vawa has not been approved. So here's what I did when I started my vawa while still living with my abusive ex.. He was EXTREMELY posseive and jealous and gave me no breathing space. Took me to work and pick me up so I had no space to even make a call let alone move around. I had to get smart. And when he dropped me off at work, I will stay at work untill my first break, will call a taxi, jump in, ran around and got my marriage licence, police and even meeting with my attorney etc. Sometimes I spent 3hrs(missed my pay ofcours) then will get back to work before closing time and he comes to get me not knowing I went to get my problems solved. I spent a lot of money with taxis and paying for all that but if I had not done that? I won't be here. So botttomline uscis need those documents.so try and get them. Ead last for just 1yr but you can renew. You don't have to file GC if you don't want to. But you must prove your abuse 100%.

Girl!!! The abusers think they are smart by bringing someone who loves them here and then abuse them withholding their GC so they be their slaves. So you have to think outside the box. That's what I'm trying to make this John guy to understand that we already went through what you went through, we overcome and you can also. I moved out from my ex after I sent my vawa. I hope he listens to what sandra and others tell him cos its very easy for uscis to deny a vawa petition. There is no easy way out man

No easy way, no cutting corners, I couldn't handle a denial, so i did what was necessary and you too

I really appreciate your answers but I think its unfair that you say I'm filing an haphazard claim. Other forum users reading your negative comments may choose not to help me. I'm trying to do my best at finding information from forum users and knowing which direction to take.

Sandranji also told me to think clearly. If I called the cops there are a few possibilities that could have happened. If I had gone to a shelter and stayed there my wife will have to stay at home to look after our kids and lose her job and lose the house (maybe she would have gone to her parents maybe she would have tried to commit suicide I don't know. What happens to my kids?

The reality is right now my wife is reading a magazine and my kids are watching TV all is well and safe for now. Like many abusers there is a pattern to their abuse my wife is always calm for a week after then she will slowly gets going again. Like I say refusing to do my AOS is not a hit in the face every blue moon its 24 hours. Her worse times are around holidays, and other special events.

4 years ago I was advised to do VAWA I still have information and notes I wrote uploaded to the web that I can use now. The thing that stopped me from doing it is that I was rightly told that I would need to file I-485 and could get a fee waiver but then the crunch came is that I would need to pay for the medical, money I do not have, end of the VAWA road for me.

Flash forward to the present and low and behold I read that people are getting EAD without doing and paying for the medical. Now unless this is new which I doubt I could have done this VAWA 4 years ago, if just one person then could have said "hey you don't need to pay for the medical just yet, you can file I-360, I-765, and the fee waiver, and all being well wait a year and you'll get your EAD then go onto process AOS" I would have got the EAD already and probably close to getting a green card and my situation would be an whole lot better than it is now.

I'm asking lots of questions and being hypothetical in some cases to help people help me to get as much correct information as I need I don't want to make the same mistake I made 4 years ago. The thing with I-485 is that I don't want to send it in right for fear of USCIS saying sorry but we must have you do your medical. It would be good if some people could positively say with 100% that I can send in I-485 to get EAD quicker and not have to submit the medical form with it because I can't afford it.

I understand people are suspicious I had it 4 years ago one person even said they'd like to hear my wifes side of the story, this person could have scuppered my chances for someone to come forward and tell me that I didn't need to have money for the medical apply for EAD with I-360, I-765, I-192 instead.

Remember there is a beautiful 4 and 3 year old involved in this and the outcome could change their lives forever.

Haphazard is not a bad choice of word if you are considering if its necessary to get a psychologists Expert Report or not. I believe waiting and really thinking this through is your best bet.As you said the kids.Filing Vawa has consequences that you are not ready to face with reason. It is NOT an easy road.Again i can give testimony to the fact that i did not send any medicals.I just got it done, was not RFEd and is taking it with me since it was requested in my interview letter to bring
