Hi, I am new to the VAWA process and find it confusing. I would like to get an EAD as fast as possible I don't have money and would like to work as soon as possible. What is the fastest way to get an EAD?

Do I have to send every form in together or is it done in set stages? Do I send in the I-130 first and wait for approval or can i send in the I-765 with it?

I see that there is a fee waiver for some of the forms but what about the medical, I had a medical when I first came to the US and this cost me over $600, will I get the EAD before doing the medical so that I can work to pay for it?

Vawa is for abuse victims, the corresponding form is i360 ,It can be filed with I765 and i485 or separately .Depends on the self petitioner.. I130 is NOT for Vawa.No medical is needed for Ead

I'm filing on physical abuse. I am going to the library later today to print off the forms I-360 and I-765 so that I can mail them tomorrow. I live in New York do you know if I send them to the address

Vermont Center 75 Lower Weldon St. Albans, VT 05479-0001

I read that the I-360 is free while the I-765 is $380 so I will also have to file fee waiver form I-192 also.

You don't just file forms. You need supporting documentation to support the alleged abuse when filing the forms. Medicals (supporting injury if any)Police report , psychological evaluations to support mental abuse ,proof of bonafide marriage ,just to name a few. There is a list of documents needed along with your personal affidavit and from friends and family.

Abuse: Gaslighting, throwing hot water at me, punched me in the stomach yesterday because one of my kids took a toy snowman off the Christmas tree, punched me a couple of times before, police have been called twice, refusing to do my AOS, isolating me from my family, refusing to give me money (had one razor blade for 3 years), locking me out of the house.

Hi,

I am in the same situation. Some of you already know since I have contacted you through personal email. But for the ones that dont know, my I 485 was transferred to NBC in October.

I found it pointless to make infopass or e request so I ll wait for a month or two. Please anybody who will find more info about this issue to inform here.

It looks its like 5-6 persons that have been vawa approved around august this year and all our file is at

Did you find out anything during the info-pass? is it worth it?

john F is mandatory to have a psychological evaluation done, otherwise your case will be denied. You should start therapy at least 5/6 sessions and then have a psychological evaluation done, find a place where you can get for free.

I read your thread before I recommend you go to a shelter for victims of domestic violence for a while and you can have some counseling as well, but keep in mind counselors are not psychologists and they cannot perform an evaluation.

You don't have to pay form I-485 and I-765 if you cannot afford, then fill out form I-912.
